19. Talking it out

" You spoiled it forever Sidharth " He heard her whisper

" Toh what was I even supposed to do ! I can't see you broken , I can't see that hollowness in your eyes , I really care for you Shehnaaz and if that means giving you the only thing you desired from your childhood, I wouldn't hesitate even a bit in doing so " he clarified

" And what about Me Sidharth, Knowing That you wanna marry me just because I love you , what am I ? A joke ? " She shouted and he looked at her helplessly, maybe she was right , He did say that in an impulse , seeing her close to Abhishek and not even considering coming back home after these many days , but the second time he spoke that maybe he meant it, he did of course he did but she took it all the way wrong.

" Shehnaaz" he whispered and she opened her seat belt , criss-crossed on the seat and turned to have a proper look at him, he looked handsome, His hair Falling on the front of his forehead and his veins that bulged out from his arms, he was indeed the only one that she felt attracted to ,yet it was so weird to even think of them as husband and wife

For a second she thought he was serious the first time he spoke those words, She was elated yet the best friend in her told her otherwise, She knew he was probably pulling a prank to distract her and she was so right, he indeed was doing the same and the next she knew she wanted to pull all those silk threads out of his head and make him bald !!!!

Okay jokes apart she felt hurt, beyond measures what she felt was only hurt , he was supposed to be her best friend right, someone whom she could trust her entire life with and yet he chose to do this

What was she supposed to do ! Sit and accept whatever he said, marry him just because he said that in a joke, something she knew he didn't want and then what ! Make a fool out of herself by marrying someone she loves and clearly the other person doesn't

" Kuch bol na Shehnaaz, I know I behaved in an impulse but Teri Kasam kha kar keh raha hoon the second time I said that I meant it " he spoke, his voice was thick and vulnerable and she knew he was not joking right now but the hurt she felt was beyond imagination

" Please Sidharth, you know right I'm ..... Main nhi bata sakti how did I feel that moment, the moment that was supposed to be our moment has given me .... Or rather has shattered all my hopes " She spoke and he clutched the steering wheel tightly turning his knuckles white

" Tujhe sach main lagta hai main teri jhuti kasam khaunga " He asked after a minute of silence

" Baat voh nhi hai Sidharth, tu shayad kabhi nhi samjhega kabhi nhi " she spoke while still looking at him, he could feel her gaze but yet he didn't want to confront her for now, all he wanted was their time after she comes home yet this is what they landed into

" Aage ka raasta band hoga " Shehnaaz spoke when she saw him turning towards the Aryasamaj road , it was a shortcut to reach the military quarters connecting the outer Area directly to the quarters without actually going to the main Mahesh Nagar road

" I don't visit that side frequently doesn't make me unaware about the roads of my own City Shehnaaz" He spoke

" Mera matlab voh nhi tha, Abhi informed ki kuch toh construction work chal Raha hai over their toh this route would just make us struck " she spoke calmly and that was scaring her to an extent that she was sure she would loose herself once again

" We need to talk yaar Shehnaaz, this has been happening from a long time now, Me pursuing my MBBS Then when I returned you walking away was something I couldn't even digest it yaar Shehnaaz, Ab ye Sab don't you think it's enough already " He spoke still driving on the same road  and she nodded
