We get back to the stable and the other three are leaning against their car talking as i help colby down before putting the saddles away, before then walking back to the house where their bickering again "your such an ass kiss, colby honestly" hearing corey say this i stop in my tracks, i shake my head and continue walking until i see him step towards colby, before i step in the middle "square up then" i say making him stop unsure if he should continue or not "if your big enough to step towards someone on my ranch you step towards me as well so step forward again i dare you" i say shoving my sleeves up to my elbow "so you're quite done bickering then, good" i say turning and opening my door "you lot have two choices, get along and we go back out to the remaining spots tomorrow or you shut up and i take the four of you back to the hotel" i say and they go quiet "well then make a decision because its as easy as one word from me and jamie can let the haunted hotel owners in the county know not to offer you tours, so buck up and make a choice before i decide for you" i say walking to my porch and sitting on the bench "five minutes" i say and they nod talking between themselves after five minutes is up i stand up "decided yet because frankly, what you three did was near goddamn life threatening. What would you have done if when he was walking between the three of you and back to me something had grabbed him?" I say making them nod "we'll stop arguing" sam says as the other three nod "good, now go do something for the next hour, you three pissed me off" i say turning to walk back into my house "only one i'd let stay right now is colby" i say and he looks at me "is that an offer?" He asks and i nod, opening my door looking back to him to which he does walk after me as the other three leave "i should warn you their flying one of our friends out here" he says sitting at the dining room table "who?" I ask and he nods "look i know your a grown ass man and shit but the second your not happy, tell me, i know you only met me a few days ago" i say and he nods, after a few hours of cleaning and altogether messing around with colby, the other three come back to find colby and i covered in flour and glitter "can i ask why your covered in glitter and flour?" Corey asks and i laugh "that's not the only stuff, there's ice cubes down my trousers, washing up liquid in her trousers and two tubs of cool whip" colby says through laughs "don't ask how we ended up like this i don't know" i say and they laugh "this would worry me but i stopped worrying about you lot along time ago" someone else's voice makes me raise an eyebrow looking past sam and jake to see elton standing in my doorway "elton is it?" I say and he nods "in the flesh" he says and i scoff "be warned and be warned well i can and have fought a grown ass man, one wrong move and i will put you on your ass" i say and he scoffs "im not intimidated by a little girl" he says and i laugh "i can control a 2400 pound animal with very little issue, you don't scare me at probably 200 pounds i've moved round bales heavier than you" i say glaring at him "enough, elton she's letting us stay here without much issues so don't push it" sam says stepping between us "oh look at the time, i've got to shower and put the animals away, maybe give them a bale of hay whilst im at it" i say turning and walking down the hall "colby my hot water doesn't run infinite, so either shift or have a cold shower" i say looking back in the room "and boys warn him about the creatures of the night, because he's sharing with you" i say looking at sam and corey who nod "i'll have a cold shower" colby says and i nod "fair enough, you're loss" i say walking to the bathroom and showering, then getting dressed again. I check the time and its 7:45 making me sigh knowing dad's at uncle rick's and the animals aren't done, walking back down the stairs i walk past the boys who look up at me "will you not be cold in just a sports bra and jeans?" Jake asks and i smile "not at all plus im lifting bales so i don't want to be pulling hay from a top the entire time" i say and they nod "d'you mind if we come with you, i'd like to see you moving a bale around" Elton says and i nod "sure why not" i say and corey smiles "i'll wait on colby" he says and i nod, sam elton and jake follow me over to the barn where the horses are getting impatient "calm your beans the lot of you" i say walking in making them squeak back at me "hi storm" i say as she nudges me from her stable "lets get you guys some more hay shall we big girl" i say and she stamps at me "alright alright" i say opening the side door where the round bales are stacked "you three stay the hell out the way, last thing i need is this thing falling on you" i say making them nod standing back "storm protect" i say and she squeaks making sure the other horses and animals are out the way, i climb up the bales and shove the top one down making the whole pile wobble "holy shit" i say freezing letting the bales stop moving before making my way back down, then manhandling this huge bale into the spare stable, "i hate this job" i say knocking the bale on the rollable side, shoving it into the right place, "OI Enough, rhysand, firefly" i shout seeing them bickering, walking closer i see a foal between them "how and when" i say as holland covers it
