A loud ringing was coming from your phone beside your head; frantically, you blindly started to hit the alarm going off on your phone, failing each time. Finally, you sighed, looking up, successfully ending that dreaded alarm you were still groggy from the night before. Honestly, you barely even remember the night. You don't even know how you managed to get home, but you had a feeling your best friend had something to do with that.

Sitting up, you stretch your arms above your head, yawning and flinging the blanket off your body, getting ready for the day. You knew you would be late for your first class of the day, so you didn't see a point in having to rush. You tied your hair back into a ponytail once you pulled on your black t-shirt and jeans. It was like any other day. You went out with friends the night before, came home too late, and slept in, missing a class. You probably should stop making this a habit; you thought to yourself as you left your dorm room to go to a Cafe nearby before heading to your second class of the day.

After you had gotten your iced latte, you whipped out your phone to check messages from the group chat. Not paying any attention to what was in front of you, you bumped into something fairly solid... well, someone solid, more like it.

"Oh, I'm so sorry," you quickly looked up to see who you had walked into while you were preoccupied. You saw a blond man with crimson-red wings, and just then, you realized who you'd bumped into, the number two hero, Hawks. You did your best to keep your composure, you weren't a Hawks fangirl, but it's not every day you're engrossed in your phone and end up bumping into a pro hero.

A smile plastered on Hawks' face, "you okay there?" He asked as he grabbed his coffee from the ledge of the pickup area. You couldn't help but stare at him; you didn't think his smile would be this perfect. Quickly shaking your head from the thoughts of how good he looked in person, Hawks looked at you with a puzzled look. "You're not okay?"

"Oh no, I'm fine! I should've looked where I was going," you rubbed the back of your head, giving him a soft smile. "Anyways, I've gotta get going to class." You spun around on your heels and hustled out the door, speedwalking back to campus.

Once you burst into the lecture hall for your class, your best friend gave you a weird look. Your face was slightly red and sweaty; you went full speed while walking to class. There was absolutely no stopping you until you got there, sighing you made your way to where your friend group was.

"Do we even wanna know what happened?" Your best friend Haru asked, looking you up and down.

"I'd rather you not," you grumbled, taking a seat. "I just bumped into someone 'cause I was looking at my phone... Again." You took a sip of your iced latte with furrowed brows.

Haru shrugged and leaned back in her chair, "if you say so, but it would be nice to know who had you practically running into class as if your life depended on it." She teased. You shot her a glare as she chuckled, putting her arms behind her head.

"I just ran into a pro hero; it was embarrassing," you pouted, looking away with a slight blush. "I wouldn't have if my phone wasn't being blown up by your messages." You very well knew it sounded like a poor excuse for literally anything. Taking another sip of your latte, you couldn't help but wonder if you'd see him again; you could say you understood why so many girls drooled over him. He was handsome and charismatic, with a great smile.

Haru shook your shoulder, "earth to y/n, who did you even bump into?" Her face was inches from yours, with an unusually intense look in her eyes. She was a massive fangirl of literally any hero you could think of.

You sat there weighing your options. If you told Haru who it was, she'd freak, while on the other hand, if you told her you didn't know, she'd also freak. Either way, it was a lose-lose situation. "Ah, I don't remember, but it was some blond guy," you shrugged. "He had jeans on, I think." You lied.

"Don't tell me you ran into Best Jeanist," Haru muttered, slightly disappointed, while you nodded your head in agreement.

"Yeah, that's the one!" You smiled brightly; it was kind of fun to mess with Haru a little bit, just this once, instead of her messing with you.

She groaned, rolling her eyes as you put your index finger up to your lips, signaling her to be quiet as the lecture started. Haru glared back at you as if she was telling you she'd get you back.

After the lecture ended, you stretched, "man, oh man, that was boring as always." You let out a shaky breath as you stood up from your seat. Grabbing your phone and bag, you looked over at Haru, who was now pouting. "What? Are you still upset I hyped up bumping into Best Jeanist?" You said while your hands rested on your hips. "I'll get you lunch if you stop pouting," you offered.

Suddenly Haru jumped up, smiling, "I thought you'd never offer." She chirped. You held out an arm towards her; quickly, she got up, wrapping an arm around yours. "Off we go, my trusty lunch pal!~" A smile graced her face.

Usually, you'd be annoyed, but you lied to her about who you'd bumped into. Honestly, you don't even know why you lied to her about bumping into Hawks; it's not like you two shared a romantic moment or anything. All you did was bump into the man after getting your latte. The more you thought about it, the more embarrassed you were.

Being lost in your thoughts truly helped with the torment of Haru dragging you around the city trying to figure out what she wanted to eat. But, if that meant her being too preoccupied to question you more, you'd take it.

After she settled on a restaurant, you two ordered your food. As you both ate, you talked about class, making little jokes about your classmates acting like know-it-alls. Once you both finished your meals, you headed your separate ways; Haru was more outgoing and had club activities to get to, while on the other hand, you were a lot less outgoing and just wanted to get home to play video games.

Once again, you were barely looking at where you were going. As if earlier, it didn't end in you definitely bumping into somebody. This time instead of checking texts, you were flipping through playlists as you used your free hand to put in your earbuds. You walked into someone's back, taking a step back, and quickly apologized. Looking up, you saw the same crimson-red wings.

"Oh, you've gotta be kidding me," you muttered. Not him again; sure, you wondered if you'd bump into him again, but you didn't mean literally.

Hawks turned around to see who had walked into him. "It's you again; you need to be more careful," he teased. "Or do you just like walking into me that much?" Shooting you a wink.

You froze, looking up at him, "what would make you think that?" You retorted. Hawks chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "What's so funny?" You questioned the blond man in front of you.

"You've run into me twice today, literally ran into me." He wasn't complaining, which you would've thought he would. He had every right to complain, but that probably wouldn't look so good on a hero complaining that someone walked into them. "Anyways, what's your name? I'd like to know the name of the girl running into me."

"I'm y/n," you smiled, nervous as you introduced yourself. You've always been a little awkward when introducing yourself, but this time you were introducing yourself to a pro hero. "I, uh, should probably get going."

"Yeah, same. I've got some patrolling to finish up. Plus, I'm sure you'll bump into me at some point. And I mean literally," Hawks teased you again as he smirked.

Rolling your eyes, you nodded, turning to return to your dorm. "Yeah yeah." You waved your hand at him. The whole way back, you couldn't help but smile to yourself; little did you know while Hawks finished his patrol, he was smiling the entire time as well.
