Your days continue on repeat, where you go out with your friends, stay out late, stumble back home and oversleep, then battle with turning off your alarm. You'd think after the first couple of times, you'd stop and be a little more responsible, but let's face it, that'll never happen. As you rolled over and checked the time, you couldn't help but wonder what the number two hero was doing. Shaking your head, you sat up quickly. Why would you even be thinking of him? You hadn't seen him since that day, you didn't want to admit it, but you were bummed out that you hadn't seen him.

Groaning, you finally removed yourself from your bed; it was a Saturday, so you had no classes. It was only ten in the morning, but you figured you shouldn't sleep all day. You knew there was no way your friends would be awake at this time. They were all nursing their hangovers with sleep. So, you decided you may as well grab a coffee, and of course, you refused to buy yourself a coffee maker because why make coffee when someone else could do it for you? It was always your thought process, lazy and a little costly. Throwing on whatever you could find, you hurried out of your dorm. "Coffee, here I come!~" You sang to yourself. It was a little dorky, but you didn't care; you were alone.

Opening the door to your favourite coffee shop was the best feeling; the smell of coffee beans filled the air. Usually, you'd bring your laptop to do homework, but today you didn't feel like it, so you brought a book with you to read. After ordering a cappuccino, you found yourself a free table. Taking a sip, you cracked open the book you brought. Some time passed as you continued reading until you were ripped from your little world by a low voice. Looking up, you saw him, Hawks. It was as if time had suddenly stopped, and only the two of you were in this small coffee shop.

"Hi there, number two," you greeted Hawks with a nod and a slight smile that you thought he would overlook. But you were so wrong, and he smiled back at you with the biggest grin you've ever seen. "What are you smiling about?" You furrowed your brow as you brought the coffee cup to your lips.

"Ah, nothin'. I haven't seen you here in a while was starting to get worried you were avoiding me." He chuckled as he rested his head in his hand, studying your face as he spoke.

You raised your brow, "how can I avoid you when I don't know where you'll be?" You scoffed at his statement; you thought he was ridiculous. "Why would you even care where I am? We've met once, plus you're a pro hero, and I'm a quirkless civilian." You quickly looked back into your book, raising it a little higher to your face hoping it'll hide the flush on your cheeks.

Hawks sat up, leaning back with a confused look on his face. Did he hit a nerve he didn't know about? He'd never had someone react this strongly to his flirty retorts. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you," he rubbed the back of his head apologetically. Suddenly the carefree hero got up and shoved his hand in his pockets awkwardly, almost like a teenage boy in front of someone he found cute.

You were taken aback. You'd never seen him act like this on TV or the last time you two met. But you hadn't seen him like this last time you met, considering you were barely in the same place for more than a few minutes. "No, it's fine." You mumbled, looking at him sheepishly. But, of course, how you acted wasn't typical of you. You usually were loud and brash, but at this moment, you were self-conscious and awkward. But, of course, being around a pro hero would do that to someone, or that was what you told yourself. "I should probably get going though, got to study and all." You chuckled nervously, closing your book as you stood up.

"I'll walk you home," he smiled gleefully. This was the first time you noticed what he was even wearing. He was in sweats, a sweater and wore a baseball cap. It was kind of funny to you to see someone who protects the country trying to look inconspicuous. "And I'm not taking no for an answer. Villains have been pretty active lately." It felt like he would almost scold you for even thinking of declining him.

Sighing, you agreed, making the table tidier so the cafe workers wouldn't have too much to clean up. Then, making your way to the door, Hawks was nearly glued to your side. "Alright, birdbrain, let's get going." You muttered, opening the door. The two of you started walking in the direction of your dorm; at first, it was a little awkward, but as time passed, you both began cracking jokes and laughing at one another. At some point, you tripped over yourself, and Hawks caught you.

"Ah no, you don't get back up here," he chuckled with a grip on your hood. Then, rolling your eyes, you mocked him. But, in such a short time, you both had become comfortable with one another, and you weren't going to lie. You felt safe with him, not just because his job was keeping everyone safe.

Once you reached the outside of your dorm building, you felt a pain in your chest, and you both had to go your separate ways. Then, looking at your feet, you mumbled, "well, this is my stop." Hair fell in your face, and you were thankful for that because you didn't want him to see how disappointed you were. "Hopefully, I'll bump into you-" quickly, you covered your mouth. You were shocked that you'd even say the words you were thinking aloud.

"Hey, give me your phone," Hawks held out his hand with a soft smile. You handed him your phone, avoiding any eye contact with him. Then, after briefly entering something into your phone, he handed it back to you, "if you ever want to bump into me, just give me a shout."

The smile he gave you melted your heart, and you held your phone close to yourself as you watched the man leave. You forgot he could fly at that moment; he didn't bother flying next to you while you walked together. Taking a deep breath, you pulled your phone away from your chest; looking at the screen, you saw it... His name, Takami Keigo.
