Months have passed since you and Keigo started dating. You've been managing to keep it secret from all your friends. How you've kept it a secret is beyond you. Hell, you haven't even seen Taishiro since that night you had brought him home, and you knew you had to see him to apologize for how you treated him.

Taking a deep breath, you scrolled through your contacts until you found your way to his number. Quickly, you tapped the contact info typing out a text asking to meet up so you could finally explain everything to him. You both had been friends for so long it wasn't worth throwing away a friendship, and you desperately prayed he knew that too.

Minutes turned into hours, which turned into days until Taishiro finally responded to you, agreeing to meet up. Keigo had watched you from afar the past few days trying to comfort you whenever he had a chance when he'd be home from work, which was a rarity. But you appreciated it he was always there whenever he could be, and that was enough for you.

Finally, you were out the door on your way to see Taishiro it was a relief he'd even speak with you. He was in his car waiting for you to open the passenger seat, he didn't want to make a scene in public, and neither did you.

"Taishiro I-" Suddenly, you were at a loss for words even though you had recited them a million times beforehand. Nothing could ever prepare you for apologizing for using one of your closest friends. "I am so sorry, you didn't deserve to be treated the way I treated you..." You looked at him, eyes full of remorse.

Taking a deep breath, Taishiro gave you a weak grin he's always been so strong, but understandably, he's having a hard time with all of this. It's not every day a close friend used you months ago and didn't have the guts to reach out sooner. But knowing him, he'll tell you it's okay and he's fine, which is unfair, but you know him. Or you thought you knew what he'd say.

"Y/n, you're my friend and... what you did hurt me, and what was worse than that is that you didn't even try to apologize sooner..." Taishiro looked down at the steering wheel and then back at you for a brief moment. "But, because you're my friend and I know you aren't usually like that, I'll forgive you." That big warm grin you've known for so long was back, and it pained your heart. He was truly a better person than anyone you knew, so willing to forgive a friend.

For a few hours, you sat in his car and caught up with your lives. Eventually, it was time to part ways for the time being. Both of you said your goodbyes, and after that, you ran back into your dorm to start studying for finals.

While studying, you were on the phone with Keigo, cracking jokes with each other and laughing. Even though he wasn't there with you, it was nice having him on a call. You felt good about how things were progressing in your life, and now that you had one of your closest friends back, you felt like nothing could go wrong. But, you might just be wrong about that feeling. Considering the call with Keigo abruptly ended.

As the night comes to an end, there's a sudden shake, and you rush to look out your dorm window. There's a fight between some villains and pro heroes, but who could it be? Whoever it was hopefully they were safe and not him.
