- Avery's/ Chloe's POV -
"Ok? What do you want?" Jenna asked suspiciously as she welcomed me in her room.
Half of the room was neat, organized, and had a nicely made up bed. The other half.....well let's just say it wasn't pretty. My guess is that, Nate sleeps on that side.
"Um, I just wanted to find out more information about a person" I said vaguely while taking a seat on her couch.
"Well, I guess I can help with that. Who is it?" Jenna asked taking a seat next to me
"Uh, I don't know her name. All I know is that she dated Ryan" I started to explained but Jenna stood up abruptly
"I'm not sure if I'm the right person to tell you about her. Ryan is my future Alpha and he said no one must talk about her ever again. I could get in trouble" Jenna said nervously and I stood up and placed my hand on her shoulder
"Relax. I can assure you, you won't get in trouble" I smiled and gently pushed her down on the couch
"How can you be so sure?" Jenna folded her arms
"Because I'm his sister" I said simply and Jenna's eyes practically popped out of her head
"WHAT?! You're the infamous Chloe?" She yelled
"Yeah....I guess I am" I snickered at her bewilderment
"Wow. I always thought you weren't real. A few years ago you were what everyone was talking about at the pack. When you were coming back, if you existed, did you die, etcetera..." Jenna explained while waving her hands
"Well, that's nice to know" I said with my eyebrows slightly raised
"Now. Tell me everything you know about this girl" I demanded and Jenna swallowed
"For starters, her name is Cassandra. Everyone called her Cassie. At our high school she was the golden girl, ya know, the whole typical cheerleader with good grades and the girl everyone likes?" Jenna started and I nodded at her statement.
"And uh, Ryan was the bad boy jock person. He was on the basketball team and he met Cassie when she was cheering at one of his games. Soon, they became the perfect couple. Everyone was certain they were mates. But, when Ryan turned 16 they found out that they really weren't mates. They still continued to date but that's when a pack, not to far from here, got in some serious danger. Apparently, some rogues had attacked the pack's local school so some of the students came to our school. A person in that pack was Cassie's mate and they met one day in school. Cassie didn't want Ryan to find out so she ran away with the guy. But either way, Ryan still found out. No one has seen Cassie or the guy since she ran away though. Ryan has tried contacting the guy's pack but they said he wasn't there. I guess they're both rogues now." Jenna recited shaking her head solemnly
"That's terrible! How could she just run away without an explanation?! They made a promise to each other! She should've at least said goodbye....or something" I yelled outraged.
I honestly felt bad for Ryan. I don't know how I would've handled something like that. I can see why he doesn't want to rush into another relationship. Even if it is with his mate.
"Anyways....thanks for you help Jenna" I said making my way out the door
"No problem!" she replied but I was already halfway out the door
- Ryan's POV -
"Me?" I asked the mysterious man
"Yes. I came to obtain some...information" the man said cryptically. He's starting to creep me out now!
"What kind of information?" I asked curiously tilting my head up
"I just need you to answer me" the man said coming closer
"Maybe I will.....if you ask the damn question! I don't have all day!"
"Fine." the man said and I nodded my head for him to continue
"Do you know someone by the name of Cassandra?" he said
