Author's Note:

This chapter is going to have a few plot holes, or at least create plot holes in previously written chapters. The main reason is because half of this chapter is set before you had a sleepover with Elise. Also I don't plan things ahead of time so the chapter after this one had characterisation that was a little off so I had to go back and write this one to make sure it made more sense.

Second note, there is going to be a decent increase of violence in this chapter. ([Y/n] goes stabby to some random npcs' thighs) so here's the warning if you need it.) This is also me trying to justify that [Y/n] has become a little desensitised to violence at this point. This is a mix of the abuse they went through and also a few of the shows and movies they've watched with Chuuya and since they live with the mafia. At this point violence is "normal" to them.

Final two notes.

Gonna be editing the previous chapters to make them flow better and also change Y/n - [Y/n].We have a new editor! Just want to draw attention to Red! because they've been and are going to be a huge help!

"Did you like the coffee?" Chuuya asks you with a concerned smile. You make a small face of disgust.

You and Chuuya were currently at a cafe. He had finally been given a full day off for the first time in what felt like a week, so he decided to take you out for the day. You had a milkshake while Chuuya ordered a flat white coffee. Curious you asked to have a sip, to which he had chuckled and offered it to you. When you took a sip you immediately back pedalled as the bitter taste invaded your mouth, completely different to the sweetness you were used to.

"It's bitter." You mutter, taking another large gulp of your milkshake to wash down the taste. "Why do you drink it?"

"I drink it because it's the only other alternative to drinking wine in the morning." He says taking another sip of the hot liquid.

"What's wine?" You question and flinch slightly before relaxing as Chuuya begins to talk. You'd ask a similar question before only to get things thrown at you and called stupid but Chuuya's voice reminded you that you were not there anymore.

"Adult grape juice." He replies simply and you nod in response. He opened his mouth to say something else only for the buzz of his phone to cut him off. "Ah you're kidding me!" He growls before sifting his expression to a softer one. "Give me a second, I promise I won't be long."

You nod as he stands and moves at of the store swiftly before answer the phone. He stays just outside the shop window so he could still see you. You watch as different expressions cross he face, by the end of the call his patience had run out and he yells at the phone before taking a deep breath and pinching the bridge of his nose.

You begin to chew your lip in worry as you see his anger building, wondering if he was going to storm off and just leave you here to find your own way home. Just as your thoughts start to take over your mind, the ringing of the cafe bell makes you look up and see Chuuya walking towards you. He had a mildly annoyed expression on his face.

"I'm really sorry [Y/n] but I've been called into work, apparently subordinates can't keep track of one bloody person." As he explains you look down at the table, nodding disappointingly. Chuuya notices this and sighs. "I'll be dropping you off with Hirotsu-san, is that okay?"

You lift your head slightly to look at Chuuya through your bangs and give him a slight head tilt of confusion. "Hirotsu is the person who found you, remember?"

Your mouth makes a small o shape in realisation and you give a small nod, only slightly annoyed at yourself for forgetting your uncle figure's name. He relaxes at your agreement and slides his plate across the table. You stare at the food confused at his gesture.
