Dean's POV

"I love you, Sam." I whisper.

It's hard to see him with such little light but I can tell he's blushing like crazy. I look at his lips. The same lips I kissed yesterday.

"I love you too." He answers.

Silence takes over before Sam breaks it.

"If I kiss you can you promise me you won't run away again?"

I answer by pressing my lips on his for a quick peck.

"Now get some rest before I do anything else to you." I say while scanning his body.

The things I'd do to this boy.

Sam raises an eyebrow before closing his eyes and flipping his body.

"Goodnight, Dean."

. . .

The next morning I wake up before Sam. His arms are wrapped around me. I don't remember falling asleep this way but it makes me smile.

As I rest here with Sam I come to conclusion that I don't want to go back to my old life. I'm perfectly content with this one. For once in my life I feel care free.

My father is alive.

Charlie is alive.

Ellen and Jo are alive.

Bobby is alive.

Kevin is alive.

Jimmy and Ameila are alive.

I'm not cursed with the mark of Cain.

Sam was never addicted to demon blood.

There was never an apocalypse.

I can trust Sam.

I don't have the overhanging feeling of death.

I'm happy.

Sam is happy.

Claire is happy.

We haven't died numerous times.

I'm not a monster.

Sam loves me romantically.

All these thoughts rush through my head one by one.

My life is great right now. The only downside I can think of is that I'm living a life without my favorite blue-eyed angel. I miss him like hell. But that's beside the point. I'm thrilled to be in Sam's arms. The feeling is irresistible.

About the same time I'm ready to get out of bed, Sam shows signs of waking up.

"Morning sunshine." He whispers in my ear sending a chill down my spine.

I roll over so I'm facing him.

"Morning, Sammy." I say with my eyes closed.

"Sam. It's Sam." He smacks my chest playfully.

I still have my eyes close but I know he's making a face. My Sam was the same way 10 years ago. I can't help my smile.

"What are you smiling at?" Sam asks.

I open my eyes and lock them with his beautiful hazel eyes.

"You remind me of somebody that I used to know."

Sam doesn't answer. He continues staring back into my eyes. I do the same. We lay in silence for a while before I speak up.

"So how do we know each other. What's the story?"
