Alexandrite POV
I ran as far as my legs could take me I was tired but still kept running no tiredness could compare to the torture I would face if I get caught.
I kept running as I saw a room and ran inside it and went inside a cupboard as I sat there breathing heavily trying to steady my breathing then I saw the cupboard door open
"No they found me" I thought in panic as I felt myself get dragged out of the cupboard.
"Oh Ria why are you there come on we need to prepare for your birthday" the duchess said happily.
We arrived at the dressing room with maids left and right holding some tools to dress me up for my birthday
*After the tort- I mean dressing up*
After that torture I was now wearing the white gown that we bought yesterday with the heels my hair was curled and styled elegantly.

I walked to the mirror and saw I looked so unreal and so beautiful I was in a daze.
"Wow that's me?" I thought to myself as I looked in the mirror admiring myself.
Then I heard the door open and there my dad went inside as he looked at me and smiled "you look amazing Lex" he complimented as I smiled at him.
"Now come on Lex let's go" he said as he extended his hand to me as I took it.
As I entered the ballroom, I was greeted by the cheers and applause of the nobles. The room was decorated with white and gold balloons, streamers, and flowers, making it look like a fairy tale come to life.
I was then greeted by the royal family and the queen motioning Anastasius to go to me as he then gave up and went to me
"Happy birthday Alexa" he smiled charmingly "thank you Anas" I said with a fake smile as I bowed to him.
Then he gave me a box wrapped in red silk and in gold ribbons it looked so fancy
I looked at it in amazement "thank you" I quickly thanked him as he looked at me, smiled and took my hand and kissed it "no problem Alexa" he said
everyone in the crowd started whispering "the rumors were right" I heard someone from the crowd say and "omg that's so cute"
As I blushed and ran to my dad covering my face "aww the princess is shy" I heard someone from the crowd say as I smirked "everything is going according to plan" I thought happily
Then the music started and I saw Anastasius approached me "will you dance with me" he said with a charming smile as he extended his hand to me.
I looked at him, smiled and took his hand as we danced to the music I could hear whispers of the other nobles but ignored them and focused on dancing I was having the time if my life.
Then as the music came to a stop we both bowed to each other and smiled "it was a pleasure dancing with you Alexa" he said with a smile "it was pleasure to dance with you to" I replied smiling
I spent the next few hours dancing, chatting with my guests and frankly it was a bit boring.
Finally, it was time for the moment I had been waiting for - the ceremony where I would discover my magic attribute. I stood in the center of the ballroom, surrounded by my dad, the duchess, the royal family, and the nobles, and closed my eyes as my dad, the duchess and the palace wizards began the ritual.
When I opened my eyes again, I felt a surge of energy within me. I looked down at my hands and saw a shimmering green mixed with brown light emanating from them. I had been blessed with the magic attribute of nature manipulation .
As I heard a shout "congratulations she has a very powerful nature manipulation "
I felt grateful and awed by the power within me. I knew that I would use my magic to protect those I loved, and try to find the real Alexandria as I promised to Alex.
Then I thought if Alex "he should've been here no Alexandria should've also been here" I thought sadly knowing that I'm using the body of Alex and the identity of Alexandria I feel like I stole their life that they should've had
"Hey Lex are you okay?" Dad said as he looked at me worriedly snapping me out if my thoughts "oh it's fine dad I'm just a little tired" I answered smiling tiredly.
"Well you'll be my official student tomorrow" Vincent said cockily
"Ugh I forgot about that" I thought disappointed.
"And here happy birthday" he greeted as he made a present appear in thin air and floated it to me and made it fall as I catched it.
"You're lucky you have a powerful magic attribute if you didn't I would've left you" he said rolling his eyes.
"I know" I thought as I just looked at him silently and left thinking what could've been Alex's reaction when he was abandoned by Vincent
As the party drew to a close, I said goodbye to my guests and thanked them for coming. I knew that this day would always be a special memory for me, one that I would treasure for the rest of my life.
"I forgot my gift to you" my dad said as he approached me a present in hand "here happy birthday" he said as he gave me the present "thank you!" I said happily as I smiled genuinely as I hugged him
"Well open it" he said with a smile encouraging me to open I opened it and It was art supplies
"Omg thank you so much dad" I shouted as I ran up to him hugging him so tightly "how did you know I wanted this?" I asked very happy "I saw you looking at it when we went shopping and I thought it would be a good present" he said "and I know you love painting"he added as I looked at him with tears of joy
"now let's get you to bed?" He said as he carried me "dad I'm 13 now I can walk on my own" I complained when I said that he suddenly looked like a kicked puppy "ugh fine" I grumbled as he smiled brightly as he carried me to my room
As I lay at my bed sleeping I woke up and looked around it looked like my room but there was someone there sitting on the chair smiling brightly it was.............
