The air around me is charged, the hair on my arms and neck sticking on end. This year feels diffrent from the others.
Seeing as this is the first year I'm actually participating in the games, I shouldn't be this excited. Not everyone survives the games, it seems that it's better to die. Losing your talent can be very difficult not many people survive without theirs, if your left alive, everyone pitys you. Most take their lives.
When you turn 18 you enter the games. I've been training since I was young and hopefully my talent will be able to keep me alive.
Every year, all wizards, mages, and supernatural 18 or over come together to play in a large tournament. They gamble their powers/talents, whoever's loose passes on their talent to the winner. The overall winner wins an island and the powers/talent of whoever's they have won against even if they are of diffrent race.
