Annabeths pov

"It's percy hes, well he's... dead"
My knees bucked. My heart raced my palms began to sweat
He was dead but this isn't possible.
He's survived much worse he couldn't be dead. Please

"Ca--" I couldn't get my words out. But will must have known what I was trying to say.
"You can see him if you want" will told me. I pushed my way through the crowed of campers that seem to have gathered and went straight to percy
He can't be gone please no.
"Percy please come back please, I need you, camp needs you. I...i love you" tears soaked my cheeks as I whispered to percys lifeless body. my heart stung as a ran my fingers over his cheeks.
"Please don't be dead" I whispered

All the other campers had been forced to go to there cabins.
I sat on the end of percys bed I refused to leave until his funeral.
I moved to the chair next to him and talked about adventures and quests we'd been on.
It hurt, but it kept me sane.
Grover and Malcolm had both come multiple times to try and convince me to at least sleep but I couldn't.
Percy is dead, percy is dead, Percy is dead. ran through my mind constantly.
There was nothin I could do.
Percy was really gone.
I would never hear him speak again.
I would never feel his warmth again.
I would never feel his lips again.
I would never see that stupid smile again.
Percys dead. he's really gone and there's nothing any of us can do.

I was shook from my thoughts by a thump.
My head was resting on percys chest

There it was again. I lifted my head to look at percys heart monitor, nothing.
Then a beat.
Percys heart was beating.
"WILL" I screamed.
Moments later the son of Apollo arrived, shirt a mess as well as his hair, nico hot on his trail. wait were they- not important right now.
"I think percys alive I felt his heart beat"
Will ask me and nico to leave, after a few hours will came out.
