Cash's head hung like a sick dog's as he sat in the back of Jamie's patrol car. Water dripped from the strands of wet hair that stuck to this forehead like damp worms. The handcuffs bit his wrists. His tee shirt clung to his muscular body, showing dim patterns of his tattoos through the soaked material.

Jamie cranked the car. Cash shivered.

"Jamie," Noble Brand's voice crackled over the radio.

"Yeah."

"Get over to the factory. Now. Bug's on his way."

"But I just ..."

"It's not a request, Deputy. That's an order."

"10-4," said Jamie.
