Summary: You and Morticia are dating, and one day she finds out about your fear of thunderstorms, comforting you.
—Thunder crashed outside, and you were frankly terrified. Despite being a water spirit, you had troubles with thunderstorms. Used to the calm deep of the sea, you found the thunder's sound unnerving.
When a particularly loud crash of thunder shook the walls of your room, you wrapped your blanket around you, waiting desperately for your girlfriend Morticia to return from her little late night stroll in the corridors.
You buried yourself under the covers, trembling under the blanket like a leaf in the violent winds outside. Tears escaped your eyes as fear took over you, each clap of thunder sounding louder than the last.
The door opened and you didn't notice, but your girlfriend saw your trembling figure under the blanket.
She gently tapped on your head under the cover, smiling as you lifted it to peek at her. She pulled the blanket off you completely, smiling, "Are you afraid of thunder, darling?"
You blushed a bright scarlet as you shyly nodded, sitting up and not meeting her gaze.
She placed a finger under your chin and lifted it up, raising your face so as to make your eyes meet hers. "You don't need to be shy, my love."
You mumbled, "It's stupid as a fear."
She pulled you into her embrace, hugging you close as she said, "Never say such a thing, darling. Your fears are valid."
A sudden clap of thunder sounded again, making you help and hide your face in her neck. She held you closer, kissing your forehead and stroking your hair.
"You know..." she thought for a moment and went on, "I was scared of thunder once, too. But my mother told me...up in the heavens, someone's spring cleaning."
You looked at her confused, intertwining your hands with hers. She stroked her thumbs over your hands and smiled as she nodded, "Every time you hear thunder, it means something's falling." A loud clap of thunder made you jump, but she pulled you into her, making you rest your back against her front. She kept your fingers intertwined, continuing to rub her thumb across your knuckles gently. "See? That was a cabinet tumbling down the stairs."
You laughed and looked up, leaning upwards for a kiss. She smiled and pressed her lips to yours lovingly, clutching you tightly when another clap of thunder came in. The pair of you pulled away when air became a problem.
"That thunder was a bookshelf falling over," you giggled.
Kissing your head, Morticia praised you, "Good girl! See? It's not so difficult to make fears something funny, isn't it?"
You nodded and leaned into her touch, saying, "What on earth would I do without you, darling?"
"Let's not think about that, because you're with me right now." She winked and kissed the forehead.
The rest of the evening was spent naming thunderclaps and watching lightning blaze across the sky.
