Chapter 08

Juancho' s

It's been three days and I can still clearly remember Caelus's crying face in the kitchen. When he faced and smiled at me, I saw happiness yet there's sadness in his eyes. Pagkatapos niya akong ngitian, hindi siya kumibo, nilagpasan niya ako't iniwan sa kusina.

Now, I am staring at him. Nasa gilid ako't tahimik na nakatingin sa kanya. Aligaga ang mga empleyado dahil siguro ay nandito ako but I wasn't actually paying attention to them. I'm just looking at Caelus, he look so happy as he talks to his closest friend, Sage. I wonder how he can act like that when I know he isn't happy.  He is good at pretending, huh?

My phone then vibrated. Kaagad kong kinuha ito and it was a message from my cousin, Claudio.

— Man, better prepare yourself. They're coming back and when they will, we will get him and punish those fuckers.

I know. Alam kong babalik na sila. They keep sending me messages. Siguro ay mabuti ngang bumalik sila, in that way, I can make a move to finally get him before I choose violence. I need to save him, first. Natapos na sana ito dati pa but then Caelus, for whatever reason he has, ruined my plan.

Iyon na sana. Malapit ko na sana siyang makuha dati pero nangyari ang hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit nangyari. I lifted my head to look at Caelus. Tumalim ang tingin ko. Nakuha ko na sana siya pero hindi ko nagawa dahil kay Caelus.

My phone beeped again.

Claudio— I suggest you ask for your brothers help.

No. I won't do that. They're also facing problems that's I why I don't want to drag them into this. I've been trying to solve this for years. I will figure everything out when they come back. Matatapos din 'to kapag nasa piling ko na ang dapat ay nasa piling ko.

"Why are you here?"

It was Alejandro. Hindi ko siya nilingon. Mas lalo lang naging aligaga ang mga empleyado sa pagdating niya.

"Get out of here. Can't you see? They're afraid of you." I mumbled.

"As they should."

I shook my head. Fucker.

Alejandro chuckled. "I see. You're guarding your husband. Afraid that other male species steal him?"

I unbelievably turned to look at him.

"I am fucking not!"

"Yeah, you are."

"Fuck you!"

"You're fucked up."

He grinned. I wanted to beat the shit out of him. Why does he insist this nonsense? I am not here for Caelus!

"Ah right. I am here to tell you that Elliot is back and he'll be meeting us at Magnifica Pub tonight. When he says “us” that includes Caelus. You better bring him."

Elliot Romanov is a friend. Naging magkaibigan din sila ni Caelus and before he left the Philippines to go to Russia, he told us that he likes Caelus, not as his friend.  It wasn't really a big deal before but I am annoyed now. You know, I have a son with Caelus!

"No way. He is my husband. So, when I wouldn't come, he shouldn't too."

Pabulong ngunit madiin kong sabi. Afraid that someone might hear me calling Caelus, my husband. Alejandro coldly gazed at me.

"You aren't treating him as one so shut the fuck up. Caelus and I will go."

We're at Magnifica Pub. I feel so excited to meeting Elliot again after long years. Kanina pa hindi mapuknat ang ngiti sa labi ko. Ewan ko ba. Naeexcite ako. I am with Alejandro. Si Juancho? Hindi ko alam kung pupunta ba siya dahil kanina, hindi siya kumibo noong sinundo ako ni Alejandro.

Didn't he missed his friend? They're high school friends, actually. Naging kaibigan lang naman ako ni Elliot dahil na rin kina Alejandro, Juancho, at Marcus.

"That Elliot guy is very excited to see you, Cae."

Napatingin ako kay Alejandro na nakaupo sa may harap. "Sigurado naman na hindi lang sa'kin siya naeexcite. Mas matagal kayong naging magkaibigan."

"Believe me."

Tumawa na lang ako't hindi na sumagot pa. I just roamed my eyes around. Talagang hindi maitatanggi na lugar ito ng mga mayayaman na mahilig sa gimmick. Ang daming magaganda at gwapo pero syempre walang papantay sa asawa kong palaging nakabusangot kapag kaharap ako.

Muli akong napatingin kay Alejandro, he's also observing. Ang isang 'to, kahit malamig makitungo, alam ko at sigurado akong swerte ang taong mamahalin nito.

I pouted.

Kung hindi kaya galit sa akin si Juancho, malamang masasabi ko rin na swerte ako.

"There he is."

Kaagad akong napatingin sa lalaking papalapit sa amin. My mouth fell. Oh gosh! Elliot Romanov is in the house. He looks more mature and still has this dashing looks. No, scratch that. Mas gwapo pala ito dahil nag mature rin ang features niya. Wow! What a head turner. Sino bang hindi mapapalingon? He look like he's descended from the heavens.

"Elliot..." I whispered.

Malaki ang ngiti nito at nang makalapit at tumayo ako para sana simpleng tapikin ang balikat niya but to my surprise, he pulled me and hugged me. Mahigpit na mahigpit na ikinainit ng mukha ko. Did he missed me that much?

"I missed you, Cae!"

I heard him say. Ngumiti na lang din ako't niyakap siya pabalik. "Namiss din kita."

His hug tightened. Parang wala siyang balak na bitawan ako. Ako na mismo ang bumitaw nang magsalita si Alejandro.

"I suggest you let him go before someone chooses violence."

Sino namang tinutukoy ni Alejandro? Ang kapatid nito? Asa pa! Namali lang siguro ako ng dinig dahil medyo malakas ang tugtug.

"Oh, you're here. I missed you, man."

"Fuck you, Elliot."

Elliot just laughed. Umupo ako at tumabi siya sa akin. Ang laki naman ng space pero talagang sumiksik siya sa akin. I can smell his manly scent. God! Kumunot ang noo ko nang makita ko ang mapaglarong ngiti ni Alejandro. Ano namang iniisip nito?

"Where's Juancho?" Elliot asked.

"Juancho? He's somewhere, and busy." Makahulugang sagot ni Alejandro. Tumango-tango si Elliot.

"How about Marcus?"

"Marcus is still out of the country. I don't even know if he'll comeback."

Totoo. Matagal na ring umalis ng bansa si Marcus. Brokenhearted ata yun nang umalis.

"I see," Elliot looked at me, his smile widened. "How are you, Caelus?"

Ngumiti ako bago sumagot. "I am fine. Ikaw ba?" I'm not fine, Elliot.

"I'm good. Especially now that I am back and I finally get to see you again after years."

"Ha?"

Elliot was supposed to say something when Alejandro cut him off. "What about me? Would you like to ask me if how am I?"

"No. I know you're fine and still ruthless, fucker."

Alejandro smirked. Bahagya siyang may tinignan bago sa'kin tumingin at nagtanong. "Are you still single?"

"I am," Elliot looked at me again. "Are you single too, Caelus?"

Wait! Ano bang dapat kong isagot? Oo? Hindi? It's complicated? Single dad? May asawa akong hindi ako mahal? Nag-iisip pa ako ng safe na isasagot nang naramdaman ko ang isang nanunusok na tingin mula sa likuran ko kasabay ng pagsagot ni Alejandro.

"Yeah, he is single."

Imbis na si Alejandro ang tignan ko dahil sa sagot nito, napatingin ako sa likuran and there, Juancho is standing with some black aura.  Alejandro dangerously chuckled.

"My brother is here."
