The straw hats had recently added a new member to the crew a red haired woman named Y/N..she wasn't a devil fruit user but was able to use haki and uses small dagger like blades in battle..they have docked at a odd wooded island with strange village...
The straw hats were out at the village again besides Y/N she was made to stay in the boat due to her causing zoro and sanji to argue over if they should go explore the woods..
Y/N sighs bored after reading her devil fruit book..the books in her large bookcase were written by her the devil fruit one is one she written after meeting or seeing people with devil fruit powers..some she wrote from hearing what some were like black beard, Marco, Sabo, white beard and boa Hancock including many more..she drew what they looked like based from the users memory or if she heard what one looks like and had details of the abilities it gave to the user though the weakness varies but all have in common with one thing..all are not able to use the power if they have sea stone around or on them and they lose the ability to swim..
Y/N leaves her room and sees the sun setting with what looks like a party in the town right now..she shrugs but looks at the south's direction..she knew she had to go..she must know..
Y/N grabs some of her small blades and vials of poison into her small left and right pouches of her belt strap before heading into the woods into the south direction..
Y/N walks with a journal in hand with a pencil in the book Incase she does find something she must draw it or write about it so she can draw it later..it was at least 2 hours until she stops seeing a dark cave with chains around it barricading the entrance.. she knew she found it! Y/N grabs out a small blade from her right pouch before starting to lock pick the medium sized lock
Meanwhile at the party one of the villagers scream in pain making the others and straw hats look to them "there's someone breaking my chains-s!" The villager indeed knew because they had a special devil fruit..it was the chain-chain fruit it was a devil fruit where you could make a chain out of anything you touch and if they're messed with the user can feel it.."Who is it sir!?" A female asked scared "I'm not sure-e!" The straw hats thought to themselves before realizing 'Y/N!' The straw hats ran to the ship before searching the ship for her and no surprise she wasn't anywhere..her devil fruit book was on her bed though that was obviously put there..the straw hats ran to the woods knowing that there's something dangerous there..
Y/N had broke the chains and opens the metal door before entering into the cave ..it was lit by torches hung against the wall every few feet..she kept walking until she's met with a bush and purple looking trees with grass..looking somewhat like mikhawks islands plant life but why here?..she walks closer until seeing something that makes her wide eyed

(The devil fruit)
She sees a brown devil fruit with what looks like shaped ears branching off and back it looked hairy but also solid!..she smiles widely, "yes! I knew it!" She hears and feels her stomach growling she didn't really eat and seeing the devil fruit made her somewhat hungry..she knew she would lose her swimming abilities and weak to sea stone but she was starving almost how luffy usually is!..
Y/N picks the devil fruit off examining it..she bit her lip before hearing her crew shouting her name outside the cave..she knew if they find her with the devil fruit they'll take it from her or luffy will eat it.."Y/N come on we aren't supposed to be in here!!" Nami said while the crew was almost to her..Y/N inhales before starting to eat the devil fruit it was tuff but sweet at the same time..Nami's steps could be heard behind her and the crew as she finished the devil fruit before sticking her tongue out with the after taste
"You owe me more berries Y/N after this!!" Chopper notices Y/N having crumbs on her face slightly making him look confused "I just had to though!..but all I found was life from..Mikhawks island I think?..but I'll take some back anyway" "Y/N did you eat something before or just now?" Y/N stayed quiet before rushing to leave "Oh no you don't! What did you eat missy!" Nami crosses her arms blocking her exit "what's the big deal?..if I ate something it shouldn't matter" "Y/N.." zoro was getting impatient "okay fine I did alright!" "What was it? Was it meat!" Luffy raises an eyebrow with a grin "no.." robin noticed that the brush was plucked? "What was in the shrub Y/N?"
Y/N flinches making the crew know she ate something she wasn't supposed to "can we just leave I'd rather study these plants than be trapped.." the crew sigh before exiting with some of the life from the cave for her to study while Y/N was writing something in her book "oo can I see Y/N!" "Luffy wait!-" Luffy takes the book and raises an eyebrow at the written page..
"Oi! Give back Y/N-chwans book idiot!" Sanji growled before luffy tilts his head "is this some kind of devil fruit?" The crew stops with a flinch.. "gimme that!" Nami takes the book reading it with wide eyes and her aura growing demonic "you found a devil fruit!?" Y/N bolts making the crew run after her except zoro going the wrong way "Oi! This way idiot!" Zoro grumbles at sanji as he turns around running after them
Y/N jumps to the ship and running into her room shutting the door "Y/N come out and explain right now!" Y/N bit her lip before sighing "fine just don't tumble me.." Y/N comes out and sighs.."I..ate the devil fruit.."
"Ha!?!?" Nami bonks her head "Idiot you were our best swimmer so far besides those two!!" Luffy gets star eyes "oo I wonder what powers it'll give you!!" "Luffy your not helping!" Ussop sweat drops "wait..YOU IDIOT YOU ATE WHAT THE TOWN FEARS MOST!!" "I know and I don't regret it" Y/N smiles making zoro hold Nami back from killing their best poison maker.. "Shishishi! I bet they'll be awesome Y/N!" "Oo it might be poison one maybe?" Chopper smiles "or or! Something to do with the earth?" Ussop exclaims "if it made the town fear a single devil fruit then it must be something very powerful.." robin says in thought
Time skip
Y/N during the night was watching the party continue after they chained up the 'dangerous' cave Y/N was drinking some wine before she hisses in pain after she bit her tongue "you alright Y/N?" Chopper asks "yeah I actually feel very great!" Chopper goes wide eyed though seeing something..Y/N had a set of two canined teeth..
