"thank you again." i said to mine & austons family, that came into watch the girls over the break
im sad that i will be missing the twins but auston & i are going to the beach house. a little 3 day getaway before christmas.
weve spent lots of off time at the beach house! sometimes just for a weekend. one week my mom, austons mom & sisters, the twins, steph & i all stayed at the beach house while the boys where away.
"oh course, sweetheart. have a great time." my mom hugged me.
"you ready?" auston asked.
"let me say bye to the girls one more time?" i asked.
he chuckled and nodded his head.
i picked the girls up and hugged them, "mommy loves you & she will miss you so much!"
i set them down and looked at auston.
"i think im ready now." i smiled.
"lets go." he smiled
we said our final goodbye and left.

"i love that dress on you." auston smiled.
its our last night here & were ending it with a date.
the dress is very similar to the one auston ripped off me a few years ago.
"you look good babe."
he had on dress pants & a white button up.
"lets not rip this dress off me, please." i smiled.
"ill try my best."
we left the house, he opened the car door for me & helped me in.
i hate heels.
he drove to same restaurant that we had on our first date here.
"reservation for matthews." he said to the hostess.
"right this way."
he led us outside, down the stairs to a beautifully decorated private patio, "enjoy."
we sat down and looked at the menu but i was too fixated on the water & the sunset.
"you going to order something?" he joked.
"yeah."
i looked back at the menu, decided on shrimp & pasta.
we ate our food and chatted about things and his next road trip.
ordering dessert because we didn't want this night to end.
i watched as the hostess set up a blanket & pillows on the beach.
"thats for us. want to go sit & watch the sunset?" he asked, standing up and holding his hand out.
i nodded my head and put my hand in his.
"actually, can i take my heels off?"
"yeah, let me help."
i sat back down and lifted my leg up, he took both my heels off and set them next to my chair.
we walked out to the blanket and took a seat.
"what are your plans for christmas with the twins? im excited to see the magic through their eyes this year" he asked.
"they're getting so big. times a thief!"
"i hate seeing them grow up too." he admitted.
"i miss them."
"im sure they are having a great time with our family, and we get to see them tomorrow." he smiled. "until then,"
he got on one knee, my eyes immediately getting watery.
"auston?" i whispered
"maggie, its been an honor to have you in my life, i will forever cherish the day i walked into mitchs house and met you by accident. i can't imagine life without out you now. so maggie anne marner, will you marry me?"
i could see his emotions as i cried.
i put my hand over my mouth and nodded my head.
i wrapped my arms around his neck and he picked me up hugged me, my feet in the air.
i could hear the waitresses, waiters, & hostesses cheered & clapping.
"oh my god auston." i cried.
he set me down and held my shaking hand to put the ring on.
i smiled before hugging him again.

the whole family knew of what was happening tonight, we all waited, impatiently, for a text from either one of them.
"im starting to get worried." i whispered to steph.
"im sure shes crying right now." she whispered back.
"could be tears of joy or tears of shes not ready."
"stop worrying babe." she rubbed my back
we waited and waited when my phone finally dinged.
