Soon afterwards that small event Simon got a call from Price, Price requested that he be put on speaker. "Alright lads, we need to be on guard and ready to engage at all times.. sadly that also means we must work in shifts at night. We all get 3 hours of sleep per night, that means that there are two awake and alert at each point every night. Is that understood?" He finished up with "yes, sir" both Soap and Ghost responded, I stayed silent wanting to fully understand our situation before I agreed to anything I'd regret later. "Yes, sir..." I responded at last before Ghost hung up. Not one of us was looking forward to this new time schedule but we knew we'd have to comply.

By now it was around 7pm so we decided the first person should sleep now. "Who's first?" Soap asked looking at us as we looked back, I shrugged in response and Ghost just stayed silent. "You can sleep first Sargent, if you want" I suggested and he nodded reluctantly. "Grand, but first let's watch the sunset" he said as he turned his towards where the sun was just about to go beneath the horizon. I'm going to be honest, I was having such a good time with them I hadn't even realised that it had gotten so late so quickly and that the sun was already going down.

We all turned to the sun as it slowly set, me in the middle, Ghost to my left, and Soap to my right. Just as the light around us was becoming a reddish-orange I felt Ghost's hand move to mine. He rested his hand on mine for a moment before interlocking fingers with me, luckily Soap seemed to focused on the sunset than on what Ghost and I were doing. His hand easily engulfed mine simply just from the sheer hand size difference.

I wanted to be in that moment forever, both of them were such nice company and the scenery was just so beautiful. Once the sun was fully down i looked over to Soap to see that he was fast asleep, is he ok?? He literally sleeps so much. I nudged Ghost and nodded towards Soap to show him that he was asleep again, it seemed it earned a small chuckle from him which made me smile. "We better take him in and get set up" he said as he began to get up which I soon followed "you take his arms and I'll take his legs" he said as he moved in front of Soap, I moved behind him and gently scooped my hands under his arms, raising him up as Ghost did the same with his legs.

We took him inside and looked around for a spot to put him, maybe like some furniture? Yet all the rooms were bare, with no furniture in them apart from the kitchen but even those were only basic appliances. "Maybe he could just stay with one of us while we keep an eye out?" I suggested as i looked down at Soap's sleeping face, he looked very peaceful and content while he slept. Ghost nodded "I'll head up to the third floor and set up my equipment if you want to do the same here and keep him with you" Ghost said as we gently put Soap down in the room where I'd be keeping a look out from. I nodded and just when he was about to go up the stairs when he turned back and came back over to me. I was about to ask him why he came back but before I could say anything he pulled up the lower half of his balaclava before kissing me softly, the kiss lasted longer than I had expected. He broke off eventually and fixed his balaclava before patting my shoulder and going upstairs.

I stood there for a moment after he left before getting a grip on our situation. I went over to the window and grabbed my rucksack that was packed full of my equipment. I began to set it up, glancing out the window every now and then to make sure the enemy wasn't here yet. Once I was set up I looked back over to Soap, the poor lad looked a bit lonely, even if he was asleep I felt that he was lonely. I went over to him and picked him up gently, trying my best to be careful as not to wake him. I guess it's true about dead weight being heavy as honesty I struggled to get him up but once he was in my arms it was a bit easier, i carried him over to the window where I was keeping look out from and placed him down next to where I'd be kneeling. Once I knelt down I moved him closer again, resting his head on my lap instead of the hard wooden floors.

He was absolutely sound asleep and I knew I should just leave him be now since he finally seemed comfortable. I got my rifle set back up and got back to peering out the window through the eye piece, scanning the now dark town. Somehow it seemed more isolated and abandoned at night than at day when it just seemed like a mildly inhabited town just having something like a siesta. The night was dead silent, no movement in the streets, no sound of anyone or even any wildlife, just pure silence apart from the sound of Soap and my own breathing.
