I decided to have Piper and Jason in this one. Let me know what you think, or any ideas you have that you would like me to write!

Jacob's POV

I sighed as I put on my Walmart name tag. It was a Friday night, and this was not how I wanted to spend it; working as a clerk at Walmart instead of partying like every other 19 year old.

I got to work and about 3 check-outs later, a girl with honey-blonde hair, another with brown hair with a feather braided into it, and two boys with them, a blond one with the feather girl and a raven haired boy with the blonde.

They were all wearing the same orange shirt and looked panicked. As I finished up my last customer in line, I went over to them.

"Hi, do you need any help?" I asked.

The raven haired boy answered first, "Nope." He twiddled his ball point pen in his hand, as if he had to quickly sign a paper.

The blonde girl looked at the boy that just answered, "Yes we do, don't we? I'm Annabeth," she said as she stretched her hand out.

I shook it, "Jacob."

The feather girl told me her name was Piper, the blond boy was Jason, and the pen twiddler was Percy.

"So what can I do for you guys tonight?" I questioned.

"A little bit of everything I guess," Annabeth answered, "We need paper towels, bottled water, matches, blankets, and... I think that's it."

"Wow, are you guys going camping or something?" I asked as I led the way.

Piper laughed, "Sorta... It's a long story."

They all stopped talking once we got to the paper towels. Percy who had grabbed a cart, glanced at Annabeth, "What'll it be, Wise Girl?"

"Well, Seaweed Brain, how about these?" 'Wise Girl' said as she placed the value brand in the cart.

As I showed them the way, I noticed all 4 of them anxiously glancing at the entrance every so often. Eventually, Jason said,

"Is there any way we could speed this up a bit? Please?" He pushed his glasses up, "We're kind of in a rush."

I nodded. So do these weird "Camp Halfblood" kids (at least according to their shirts) not like me?

We already had the matches, the paper towels, and some blankets. All they needed now was the water.

"Right here," I said as we entered the water bottle aisle.

Percy grabbed the 48 pack and plopped it in the cart like it was nothing.

Once we were at the check out, I swiped their things and rang them up.

"That'll be $22.56," I said.

Piper fished out a twenty and a five and a few coins and placed them on the counter. I glanced at Jason, Percy, and Annabeth. They were all staring intently at the door, like someone would pop out and attack.

I shifted my attention back to the coins. A dime, a quarter and a-

"What's this?" I asked, holding out a golden coin.

Piper snatched it and laughed shakily, "Opps, my bad. It's a dress up coin of my nieces'."

Her words seemed to wash over me and I don't know why, but I immediately trusted her.

"Oh, it's fine. And you can just forget about the coins. I've got it covered."

"Oh, thank you," Piper said as I handed her the rest of the change.

"Have a good day!" I called back to them as they sprinted out the door.

Ta-da! I hope you like this one. Leave any comments on what you think!
