[WORD COUNT: 3167]
Kyo walks in front of both Umaru and Me, with the fiercest stare ever. It even made me a bit scared.. “Brother, wait!” Umaru called after him. “I swear I will slaughter this creature for all the damage it has done.” He stared ahead, not even looking back or waiting for us to catch up. Looking back to what Umaru had said, she seemed like she really didn’t want to tell Kyo that.. (Tiny flashback ;))”They have captured one of the beasts and are now letting the holy fathers examine it” Umaru had told Kyo and I.. I really shouldn't have asked that question with him there.. It's only been a few days since my arrival and he’s already pretty protective in my perspective. “Kyo!” I called after him. No answer.. I remember hearing the queen talking to Kyo and calling him by his full name. I take a deep breath, stop walking and get ready to yell as loud as I can. “Kyorous Shitsubō Ōritsu!” I screamed. Kyo froze in his position and I heard a snort from Umaru. Kyo turned his head to me and stared at me with murderous content. “Don’t ever call me that, or I will have you beheaded.” My eyes shot open in shock. What.. I understand why he would give me a death glare because of me calling his FULL NAME but it's not that serious to where he would threaten to actually slaughter me.. Kyo’s expression turned to his normal, he then had the face of realization. I turn around quickly, but walk away slowly. “E-Elle. Wait-” I didn’t answer him. I'm guessing that he thought I was mad at him, but no.. I was mad at myself. I could have easily avoided that and just screamed ‘Kyo’ Again.. I felt a large hand on my shoulder and I moved my shoulder away from it. "I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have done that.. I will go, nothing said." I told him. I didn't dare to look in his eyes. I began to walk away but stopped at a man, dressed in white with a cross sewn into the chest of the cloth, being thrown through a door and into a wall. A grain of blood ran from his mouth. I raced to the man and I examined him, feeling his spine. The spine felt weird as if it had been broken. Fear filled me to the rim. I twisted my head to the door he had flown out of, finding a wolf with its white hair standing up and mouth watering. Yet its eyes didn't fit.. Kyo slid in front of me and held his sword in a fighting stance. Umaru stood from afar, her eyes glowing in fear, frozen in fear. Kyo charged at the beast. I can't say stop.. My mouth won't let me! Even if I screeched it, it would only come out as a squeak of breath. No.. no! He will kill the beast, the beast did it out of fear, it has fear built in his eyes! The beast did not charge back at Kyo, it only dodged the attack and trotted towards me. I started to back away from it but the wolf just sat down beside me and waited. His ears flopped down and he stared at Kyo's back. "ELLE!-" Kyo then saw that the wolf had stood down and was sitting at my feet. He stood there, speechless along with me. "Go ahead." I heard a deep sound from the wolf. "Pat me, pet me, boop me, I don’t really care." I stood there in shock. "Did you just speak?.." I asked. "Yes. Please get used to it and tell your boyfriend over there to stop trying to kill me." I twisted my head towards Kyo and stared at him in silence then looked back at the wolf. "Can't you tell him yourself?" "Nah, he's only a mere human with much power and authority, he would not understand the simple words coming out of my mouth." I nodded and twisted my head back to Kyo, "He said to stop trying to kill him." I told him. "Did you bump your head?" He asked me. I shook my head. "Also, your friend over there." The wolf mentioned, twisting its head towards Umaru. "What about her?" I asked. "She's in shock and her mind can't comprehend anything else that will go on from now on, so I suggest that you get her to a bed or let her rest somewhere." Kyo turned his head towards Umaru as well as me and the wolf. Umaru started to fall back slowly, her eyes rolling back. Kyo quickly, swiftly caught her before she could. “Now..” The wolf looked at me, “You shall order me in any way you see fit, therefore I am now your loyal.. Pet.” It and I cringed at the word Pet. The wolf began to pronounce words but I interrupted before he could do so, “Wait, wait. Back up, What the hell is happening?” The wolf sighed and ignored my question to watch Kyo carry Umaru on his back, towards us. “What are you doing? You are talking to the air and yet the monster is following every command?!” Kyo exclaimed I stood in silence, meanwhile the wolf growled at Kyo at the word ‘Monster’. Thoughts came running over me. Wait, does he think I am a witch or something? Ew!! Witches are gross and ugly, why would I want to become a witch.. Either way, it's not my fault that this wolf is speaking to me- That's right! I must be dreaming.. Yes, that must be right, wolves can’t speak. So if I just try to wake up from this nightmare, I probably will and I’ll be back at my castle with no power or anything like that.. I tried to open my eyes as wide as I could, tilting my head down to the ground so I didn’t look so weird. “I assure you, this is not a dream.” the wolf said, “this is real life, where you can die, get hurt, slaughtered, be blamed for something you didn’t do, and even be raped. In all of those situations you assume you must be dreaming but if you were, you are trapped inside that nightmare forever.” The wolf was cold with its words yet its white fur was so warm, but tangled. I rub the fur on his head while staring at the ground. “I will be honest with you.. I do not know what is going on and I am pretty sure you don’t and I really don’t want you to think I am a witch because I am not, I really hope this is a dream because this doesn’t feel real!” I rushed my words.  I looked up slowly to see Kyo’s reaction to be.. Quite surprised. “Holy, you overthink way too much.. Where would you get the idea that I would think you were a witch? Aren’t witches all gross and grim, with Zero hygiene?” I point my index finger towards him, emphasizing that he ‘had a point’. “That's what I was thinking at first!” I heard a groan from Umaru. “I believe you should get her to bed quickly before she wakes up and freaks out from seeing a wolf practically inches from biting her and you.” It told me. I nodded and looked at Kyo, who was staring at me like I was crazy. “It suggests that you should take her to her room and let her get some rest.” I told him. He started to argue back but the sound of Umaru groaning once more told him to do as I said. He scoffed before he raced off down the hallway. I watched him, with a concerned expression. “Now then” the wolf continued, “I go by Shitgau, known as ‘Obey’ in english. The last holder of your power named me that.” I nodded at it, “I go by Elle, but you can call me Shujin since it means ‘Master’.” I said proudly. “Yeah.. Sure ""Take my name seriously you peasant!!” I bonked the wolf on the head once, causing it to whimper at the sudden strike. “HEY!” It yelled. “Anyways..” “Are you just gonna totally ignore that you hit me?!” “Yes, yes I am ‘Shitgau’” I mocked. It wanted to yell more and maybe beat me to a pulp but it was interrupted by laughter going from the room the wolf was just in. “How joyful you are with a beast.. It can tear you apart any second you know. We will get the guards if you would like.” A holy man said, coming out from behind the corner. The wolf and I stared at him. Shitgau started to growl at the man. “That's one of the holy fathers I am guessing..” I whispered to Shitgau. He only answered with a growl and a raise of a lip to where I could clearly see. “I assure you” I start, “I have this all under control, he has been tamed and is now obeying.” “Well now dear, It can become rapid at any moment. Take a glance at his mouth. He is basically foaming from the mouth and must be slaughtered.” he fought. I stared at him in disbelief. What?.. Isn’t he supposed to be one of the holy fathers? The one that understands all life under the hands of the gods? Why would one of them hate this one creature? I heard a moan from behind Me. Both Shitgau and I turned our heads to the sound and found the injured man to still be alive. I felt Shitgau’s eyes on me and I shook my head. “He won’t do much, just spout on about how you threw him through the door.” I whispered to Shitgau. I heard a groan beside me where Shitgau was, now standing. We turned back around to the man dressed in white, and was fully alive. “Now Child, the gods would not accept a beastly creature like that into our society, would they?..” I stayed silent and watched him get closer and listened to the sound of Shitgau growling. The closer he got, the more anxiety built up in Shitgau and My chest. Shitgau began to take position to pounce on the man but I stepped up to the man. “What god have you been listening to..” I asked him, “Our god of course, dear..” Ares is not my god.” I told him. His eyebrows then narrowed at me, and was about to take action. Before he could strike, I grabbed his neck and held him high. Sounds came out of him that symbolized he was being strangled. Excitement built up and I smiled. I almost started laughing, it was so funny to see this old man struggle! I felt a wet nudge on my leg. I turn my head and see Shitgau’s nose pressing against me. “Stop, you wouldn’t be able to explain what happened when he is dead.” It told me. I sighed and started to think. It was just for self defense.. At least I think it was. The excitement of almost killing someone was so thrilling! I heard footsteps down the hall and I dropped the ‘holy father’ to the floor. There were guard’s coming our way. I take a deep breath, and sit back against the wall. Shitgau layed beside me. I clutched the half dead man’s arm and started acting like I was scared. “Oh my god!” I yelled at the sight. One guard came running to me and asked, “Are you hurt?” I shook my head. “What happened to this man?” I said nothing, I only stared straight ahead to where the ‘holy father’ was. “I-is he dead?” I stuttered. The soldier looked back at the man, who was checking the pulse on his neck. “He has a steady quiet pulse. If we get him treated he can still be saved..” The other soldier said. My face grew red with anger, but changed when the soldier in front of me looked back at me. “He’s ok, We will take care of him.” All the soldier’s carried the ‘holy father’ away, Shitgau and I stayed back and watched them leave. I stood up and kicked the wall, my face red again with anger.
