9: Thestrals Overhead"Little do you know,
I'm still haunted by the memories."Fifth Year
"Thestrals overhead," His voice laced as if nothing had even happened between us. "Some consider them a bad omen." Sebastian snarled.
My boots scrunched on the grass beneath, not phased by his words. "Hm, not everyone does."
The fight wasn't fresh. It had already been a few days since he threw this infamous 'ignorant' insult on me — "didn't care enough about Anne," to add in.
The fight treatment only lasted twenty hours. It was only less than a day before he threw in an owl, Flooty, to give an apology.
"I know that," Sebastian said in a serious tone.
I rolled my eyes, my legs trying not to give up as we trailed on those highlands, and gave a sigh from the attitude tone. "Hm, alright..."
There was an awkward moment of silence. Only our shoes were the ones echoing in the day atmosphere.
"Elle, I'm making small talk!" Sebastian's voice extended closer behind me, "I'm not going to track up this mountain in silence..."
I couldn't help, but look down at my boots, trying to hide away the giggle that wanted to escape me from his desperation for attention. He couldn't handle silence. It frustrated him.

The memorable daydream came to an end when a loud groan disrupted my thoughts. I was brought back to reality, eyeing away back to the present and seeing the Gryffindor table fill.
Nellie nearly slammed a knee on the wooden bench across from me, beginning to slide off her outer layer of quidditch clothing in front of everyone's view.
"Egh! Nellie, there are lavatories for a reason!" Cressida screeched, adjusting her glasses. "Some people use this table to eat!"
Nellie rolled her eyes, ignoring Cressida's voice, as usual, and again, slid out her dirty top layer, making a few seventh-year boys whistle out at her from her long sleeve.
"Suck up, Cressida," Nellie spat, "Practice today was rubbish. Rubbish, I tell you!" She complained, finally sitting down and shoving her fork onto the chicken.
"Rubbish? The games have yet to start, Nellie." Natty said next to me, almost surprised at the frustrations that came out of our roommate.
"Well, get prepared to take a loss against the snakes," Nellie hissed, looking around, "Sallow had no reason to give a rough play this year. He has no remorse for the female players playing! No care at all! It should be a mark!"
"Merlin, he was a pain in the arse, wasn't he?" Garreth Weasley sneered a few feet away, munching on his bread as he snooped at us. "...wonder what he's brewing up this week."
I stood quiet, pretending not to think much about it. My fingers fiddled with my own fork and I no longer felt the need the eat. Not after he was made the center of the conversation at the Gryffindor table now.
I hadn't really seen Sebastian since that day. I did have him for several classes, but I avoided any single sight of him. He didn't speak either with anyone, so it was like...I didn't have him in classes at all.
