Insanity, they say, is doing the same thing Expecting a different outcome, time and time again. You were just a boy whose life was marked by terror and trauma. Your father, a violent alcoholic, abused you and your mother for years. Yet it was tolerated on the belief that he would grow to be better.
It's repeating mistakes, refusing to learn
Getting stuck in a cycle, never to turn.He did not.
It's chasing a dream that will never come true.
You were ten the night your life changed. You were ten when you watched your father choke your mother to death in a drunken rage. From that moment on, your life spiralled out of control.
Believing in the impossible, denying what's true.
It's clinging to hope, even when hope is gone.
Living in a world where reason is gone.
You left to live with your aunt and uncle, good people who did their best to care for you, but the damage was already done. Your dreams, haunted by memories of your mothers lifeless eyes, and your anger toward your father only grew with each passing day.
Insanity is a prison of the mind. A place where logic and reason are hard to find.
It's a dark and twisted world of delusion,
A never-ending cycle of confusion. As you entered your teenage years, your behaviour became more erratic, lashing out often as you struggled to control your emotions.
It's a path that leads to destruction
A downward spiral of self-destruction.It's a world where reality is blurred, A place where sanity is absurd.
Your descent into madness was slow and gradual, but it was always inevitable. You became so obsessed with the idea of revenge, you lost touch with reality.
Insanity is a scary thing.
A place where nightmares turn into dreams.
As the years passed, your mental state deteriorated further, becoming increasingly more paranoid and delusional, convinced your father was around every corner waiting to finish what he started oh so long ago. Your grip on reality slipped away where you now became a danger to yourself and everyone around you.
So if you find yourself caught in this trap,
Break free from the cycle, don't look back
Embrace the light, leave the darkness behind. And reclaim your sanity, your peace of mind.
As your desire for revenge consumed you, it was decided that you should get to him before he could get to you. The scheming and meticulous planning is what truly marked the beginning of the end for your life as you knew it. Those plans alone, would send you to prison. Let alone going through with them.
And then one day, your opportunity presented itself. He was released from prison, only a few hours away. You packed what you'd need and attempted to set off but your legal guardians could not allow you to go. Not in the state you were in.
But it wasn't up to them.
With the door slamming closed behind you stopping on a boot, your knuckles bloodied, you set out to find your father. As you traveled the distance, your mind was consumed with thoughts of vengeance, of what you would do as you finally freed yourself of the cause for your torment. You imagined yourself standing proudly over your fathers corpse, avenging your mothers life a smile adorning your lips.
