"I'm sad you missed out last night Ev, it was so good!" Mackenzie slapped her hands together in excited and I couldn't help but smile at his genuinely happy my little sister looked.

"Me too Mack. But yesterday was a hard day and I just wanted to crawl into bed. I'm glad you both had fun though, Parker told me all about his great swing at 7am this morning." I said with a hint of annoyance and she laughed in my direction.

"I don't know what he's talking about he was shit!" She moved to pull the suitcase out of the room and I sighed.

"Mackenzie, language!" I shook my head.

"Really? It's not even a bad word." She chuckled defensively and I raised my eyebrow.

"It is too!" She rolled her eyes at me but I could see the smile on her lips.

"Alright everything packed! Are you sure you want to leave so quickly Ev? I thought you'd want to stick around for a few days." River spoke as she came into the room, munching on a piece of toast as she spoke.

"No, I definitely don't want to stay any longer. This town is no good. Unless you do Mack?" I moved my eyes across the room to her and she shook her head.

"Hell no! Get me out of this dump." She shouted before moving towards River and fighting her for a bite of her toast.

"Fuck off Mackenzie, Olivia ate the other piece of toast I made! I'm not making another one." She huffed, pushing my little sister away from her.

"River! Language!" I tutted and as usual she rolled her eyes in my direction.

"Damn, little miss Uptight is back again," she giggled in my direction. "Maybe fucking my mom was good for you." She joked but I instantly felt my heart drop and she could tell it hurt my feelings by the frown on my face.

"I'm joking Ev, I swear. Want a piece of toast?" She tilted her head and I couldn't help but smile at her soft voice that she only ever done to me.

"No, come on otherwise we will never get out of here!" They both groaned at my constant want to leave but if I didn't tell everybody to be ready by 10am then we would never leave!

"How are we getting back to the house?" Olivia asked me as I moved out of the room and towards them down the hall.

I grunted as I dragged my suitcase behind me. "Hmm, I don't know why I've not thought that far ahead I'm-"

"Already handled! We have 2 cars on the way for us now. I need to head home as quick as we can anyways. My dad found out about Natalia finding me and wants to sit down and talk." She took her last bite of her toast and pulled a disgusted face.

"I don't know why he wants to talk about it, there's nothing to fucking talk about." I could sense a lot of built up anger towards her mum but I wasn't going to pull it out of her. Her family should deal with it and I should definitely stay out of their family business from now on.

"Also, my dad wants you there Ev." River called as she lunged her suitcase towards the lift. My eyes widened. Oh God.

"What! River no, tell him no!" The panic was clear in my voice by the way I was begging and I didn't care! I was not going to be involved in this family business! I want to take myself out of it.

"What's the big deal?" River snorted as she finished off the last of her piece of toast before grabbing the last bits off her clothes.

"What's the big deal?" I mimicked her in shock. "River, it's a massive deal! I've known your father since I was young and he has given me so much that I owe him my life! Now he finds out that I've been sleeping with his ex-wife! How embarrassing of me! I bet her thinks I'm disgusting." I shook my head at myself, making sure to scan the last of the apartment before I shut the door and headed to the elevator.
