CHAPTER 09

SUNSHINE'S POV.

"Sunshine, hindi ka ba tutulong sa clinic? You have the ability to heal." biglang sulpot ni Jessica sa tabi ko.

"No. Themarie is already there. One is enough."

Nangunot naman ang noo niya. "What do you mean one is enough? It's not enough. Alam mo 'yan." she said. "She can't handle all of that patients alone? And besides, hindi ka naman marunong makipaglaban, hindi ba? You must help her,"

Inis ko naman siyang tiningnan. "What do you mean by that?! Marunong ako! I can at least defeat five of them!" inis na singhal ko sa kaniya.

She tsked. "Hm? See? Just five of them. And you had the nerve to challenge Eshter to a duel? That girl alone can solo thousands of them!" aniya. "Ipapahiya mo lang ang sarili mo, Sunshine." dagdag niya pa.

Lumayo naman ako ng ka-unti sa kaniya. "I can defeat her!" malakas na asik ko sa kaniya. Tumaas naman ang isang kilay niya. "If... I have... a plan..." mahinang sabi ko na ikinatawa niya.

"See? Kahit ikaw ay alam mo sa sarili mo na hindi mo siya kayang talunin." salubong ang kilay na aniya. "At saka, you kept comparing yourself to Themarie. Let me tell you one thing..." dagdag nito. "If you are on Themarie's level, you can at least defeat hundreds of them, but you are not. Why not help at the clinic? You belong there," sarkastikong sabi nito at naglakad palayo sa'kin.

I gritted my teeth in annoyance. How dare she humiliate me like this?! I'm her Captain! She should at least treat me like a captain kahit ayaw niya!

"Captain? Anong ginagawa mo dito?"

Huminga naman ako ng malalim at tumingin sa harapan ko. "Oh, Kent. What are you doing here?"

Nagsalubong naman ang kilay niya. "Answer my question first, Captain. Anong ginagawa mo dito?" pag-uulit niya sa tanong niya kanina. Napasulyap naman siya sa likuran ko. "And is that Jessica? Nag-away na naman ba kayo?" he glances back at me.

I gritted my teeth. "So? She started it first,"

Nasapo naman niya ang noo niya. "Intindihin mo nalang kasi siya, Captain. If she bursts at you, you should just tolerate her para hindi na lumaki ang gulo. At saka, you are our captain. You shouldn't fight with your teammates." salubong ang kilay na aniya.

"Why are you scolding me?! You should scold Jessica and not me! She started it first!"

Bumuntong hininga naman siya. "You didn't get my point, do you? And you call yourself our captain? It's disappointing." umiiling na aniya at linampasan ako. "Oh, pinapasabi pala ni Chairman na tumulong ka daw sa clinic. He knew that Themarie can handle all of the patients there, pero kailangan niya pa rin ng tulong. And it's you, since you have the same ability as her. Make yourself useful, Captain." he said at nakapamulsang naglakad palayo sa'kin.

Why are they like this to me?! He is calling me captain, pero ramdam ko doon ang dislike niya. Kung ayaw nila sa'kin, then why did they agreed to Jack's decision to have me as their captain?! Edi sana nagreklamo sila kung ayaw nila sa'kin!

"Eh. Minamalas ka nga naman, oh."

Irita naman akong napalingon sa kanan ko. "Sa lahat ng tao dito sa Association, ikaw pa talaga ang nakasalubong ko?" iritang asik nito na ikinainis ko.

"What did you say?!"

Tumaas naman ang isang kilay niya. "What? You look irritated today, Sunshine. Let me guess what happened," natatawang saad nito. "You and your teammates got into a fight again, right? That's so sad. Wala kang kakampi," natatawa at sarkastikong dagdag pa nito.
