The problem wasn't falling for you

Maybe you were just afraid
Loving someone like me
It's hard but It looked so easy
I keep asking you out
Hoping someday you'll have no doubts
It's almost the end of our story
The one we might tell our grandkids with glory
Is this the end of all the endings?
Or maybe a start of new beginnings
There is still a long road to go down
Some things will never change in this old town
