Her beauty unmatched,
could start a war,
But she keeps her distance, makes me wait,
Plays like she is hard to mate,
So I'm here aching with a heart beating fast.
Wishing my love for her will outlast.
Our words may sting but nothing else seems so bittersweet.
An Indigo night, endless and vast,
Time flies away so fast.
Let me untie your silk string knots,
Or keep them tied, but don't leave me
Adrift trying to rearrange in this abyss,
Might don't come back alive.
Walk with me on the beach, sand between my toes, the waves crashing in, as I stand at the shoreline
and the breeze just feels right.
Lost, in the darkness
with so much to say.
The rain, it falls and cleanses the air
A battle, it seems,
with the thunder's glare
And in that storm, we feel so small
Fragile, grounded,
but ready to surrender it all.
And in those moments,
We feel like we've found a piece of our soul,
where it's finally unbound.
A glimmer of hope in the midst of despair, a reminder that we are loved and we can care,
But then, just as quickly, it fades
away leaving us feeling empty, left in dismay.
