Amidst the darkness and chaos
that surrounds me,
The world on fire, the flames
consuming all I see,
Somewhere in between you're hiding, and I feel like I'm cemented in concrete
and I can't get away.
I am but a lost soul wandering
aimlessly,
With no self-love, no respect, just
emptiness in me.
I know what you did to your body.
The flames of destruction they
burn ever higher,
Spreading and consuming all
that is in its path, Leaving behind nothing, but
ashes and despair,
As I watch it all crumble and fall
to the ground.
And in the midst of this raging
inferno,
I find myself drowning,
struggling to breathe,
The emptiness within me
And I'm lost in the fear and uncertainty,
as the darkness threatens to consume me.
I know,
I am not alone in this strife,
You are here too.
Let me skip forward,
Let me blink so you disappear out of my sight,
I'll grow out off you,
But I fear to be forgotten,
I'm afraid you'll forget my name when I mention yours in all my poems,
When the waves from the sea of hell didn't already take everything with them.
Feeling numb and unconscious
all day.
Lost in a mind of endless grey,
Carry the hate in me for myself and
you,
Nothing can break through.
Nothing to pursue I'm to sluggish overwhelmed,
A numbness that I can't seem to escape, I'm suffocating in the hate, for not being the one who could you understand.
