A woke up with a yawn. It's been a couple of months since I unexpectedly joined the nara clan and for the most part it's been great. I can eat whenever I want, sleep for as long as I want and my mate shikamaru is very nice to me. Sometimes I question whether or not he really loves me but that's besides the point!
I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes as I made my way to the window to pull open the curtains. I was shocked at what I saw.
Snow!
I haven't played out in the snow since I was a child. Part of me wanted to relive that moment of childhood again but I should probably ask permission first.
I slowly crept into shikamarus room and sat on his bed "shikamaru" I poked his cheek.
He opened one eye "what do you want neji?"
"I was wondering if it would be ok for me to go out in the snow"
"Yeah just make sure you bundle up warm. Don't want you to catch a cold" he yawned before turning over.
"Ok I will" I grinned before rushing over to grab my coat and slippers and head outside.
*Time skip*
I could feel the snow crunching under my feet. The cold air filled my lungs. I always loved the cold weather. The white and blue colours were always so pleasing to see.
I reached out and caught a snowflake with my gloved hand. I activated my byakugun to study the details of each individual snowflakes.
"Beautiful" I whispered, my breath coming out like mist.
"Got ya!" I was grabbed from behind by strong arms. I looked up to see...
"Shikamaru" I giggled at the sight of his goofy hat that covered his spiky ponytail "I didn't think you'd come out"
"What can I say, I love the cold weather" he winked at me.
"So do I" I looked at him with a twinkle in my eyes. I'm glad I got to spend this moment with him.
"Now what do you say we warm up with some warm Coco"
