A life
Everything
Between the first breath
And the last
The love
The loss
The stable
The cross
What happens between
The beginning
The end
That's what they'll keep
Your family
Your friends
It's not where you started
Or even the end
It's what you did
That measures a friend
How will you spend it?
This next passing breath
That next step could end it
And then you'll greet Death
