You were my god

You were my god

I was your slave

I though I was love

But I should have known what a joke was it,

To be someone at your side

Still I always had to crane my neck to look you in the eye.

I soon knew how terrifying were nights

When the sun went down and out were lights

In the darkly lit room with view of vines

When the monster came in

I knew I was trapped in tower of lies.

I was a survivor but you tore me down

My will was broken, piece by piece, on the ground

Screams,now,were just fading noise

You wanted me to be your pretty doll, stoic and poised.

The knowledge that no one would come

was not more bitter than my family who had outrun.

Left me, Its not like I could blame them

Still the aftertaste of betrayal wasn't one I wanted to taste too sudden.

Fairies that give you gowns were dead

Dreams that let you escape were far fetched

Someday I will be buried in these lands

Souls like me haunt you after we fail to reach our deserved heavens.
