Your picture in my head gets hazy by the day,

It deluded me into thinking that I had forgotten you finally today,

But then you come in front of my eyes

Set my world aflame like a teardrop falling from a highrise.

Just a glance, just a touch, is enough to keep me afloat, I don't greed for much.

But the second you look at me with affection in your eyes, it weakens my resolve, ashes morph into fireflies

I feel like if you ask me how I feel, I might cry, I might even tell you how I feel in a cacophony of words mixed with some lies.

We can't go back to how we are right now, if in some parallel world I tell you in my heart what we are right now,

Will you embrace me? Will you reciprocate the touch?

But I don't wonder, because if you don't love me like I love you, it will break my heart, as such.

So selfish, Such an elaborate disguise,

Can she even bare her heart, without any of her lies?

No, she could not. Frankly, she doesn't want to.

Asking her to leave her bubble, what right do you have? As if your silence is true?

I think to myself that this feeling will fade away, now 8 years down the drain, how do I still feel the same?

Why do I still feel the same?

In my dreams, the world we live in doesn't give us envy,

When they see how my eyes twinkle when you are with me,

In my dreams, you twirl me around as we dance in the living room and kiss my mouth shut,

Your breath whispers of desire and your eyes crinkle with smile lines and flames of lust,

I could possibly but surely combust.

The butterflies in my stomach never really settle down,

With you, their job is 24/7 all year round.

I am on the clouds, my feet never touch the ground,

Being in love made me smile instead of frown.
