"After mo bumaba sa North Avenue, bus lang ang puwede mong sakyan para makapunta sa kaibigan mo. Bababa ka lang sa..."

I nodded at every word that Graham was telling me. Today was the first day he'd help me go to William's house. Last Thursday, I went to Lara's house successfully. I had a tiny smile on my face when I got home after that. Marunong na akong mag-commute. It was a small win moment for me.

Right now, nasa bus kami ni Graham at nakatayo dahil ubos na ang libreng mga upuan. Like MRT and LRT, there were handrails on this bus. I was holding one of them. I was facing the right window, Graham was on my left, and another guy was on my right, using his phone.

"Sino ang bibisitahin mo sa QC?" nilingon ko si Graham. "Kaibigan namin ni Lara, si William."

"Sabi mo, sasali ka sa isang pageant, 'di ba?" I nodded and held tighter on the handrail because of the sudden stop the vehicle did.

"Miss U-belt," I said lowly, "alam mo 'yon?" tumango siya at tinitigan ako ng ilang segundo. "Bakit ka sasali kung hindi ka nagpa-pageant?"

I shrugged. "Sabi ng mga kaklase ko may premyong pera kapag nanalo."

After saying my last word, I saw Graham's sly smile.

"For someone who doesn't seem to need money so much, you sure act like you do."

Then, I heard his low chuckle. It was refreshing to hear!

"It's weird to hear you laugh," I commented as the bus made a swerve. "You make me sound like a lifeless person."

I looked at him and shook my head. "I wouldn't say lifeless, I'd say, serious. You seem to always be serious no matter what."

"Tama ka naman, seryoso nga ako."

Nakakainis na ang guwapo ng boses niya nang sinabi niya 'yon. He knows he's serious, and it's like he uses it to his advantage to look and sound more guwapo.

Badtrip!

"Ikaw rin, seryoso ka." I didn't say anything. I was calming my nerves because a few nights ago, I said I'd get over this feeling. The beginning of that was to stop feeling this giddy feeling whenever I was with him.

"Tumatawa ka ba?" I scoffed and looked at him. "Of course, I do. I am serious, but I laugh at jokes and funny situations."

"I feel like you have a horrible laugh," my jaw dropped because of his honesty. "Because your voice is really deep, I can't imagine it getting higher when you laugh."

I couldn't help but slap his arm. "Ang sama mo! You've never even heard me laugh!"

"Feeling ko lang," sumimangot ako.

Ganito ba talaga 'tong buwisit na 'to? Parang kahit okay kami, bubuwisitin niya pa rin ako, e! Masiyado siyang honest, nakakairita! Sarap kutusan!

"Pangit mo," I whispered before getting my phone out to stop him from replying to me.

I messaged Lara and asked if she was already in William's place since kailangan pagdating ko ro'n ay mag-picture ako para ma-send sa mga kapatid kong nakatatanda. They demanded proof that Lara's with me when I go to William's. Hassle nga, e. May gano'n pang nalalaman sina Kuya.

I opened my messages and saw Dad's message from a while ago that I hadn't seen.
