Class 3-E watched as their homeroom teacher fell for the blatant seduction attempt of the blonde hitman. Kataoka Megu turned to their current instructor, eyebrows furrowed. "Karasuma-sensei, we. . . just can bring ourselves to like that woman." She spoke for the class, knowing that they all were frustrated with the current circumstances and didn't have the ability to do anything about it. Karasuma frowned as he took in the expressions his students had on,"Sorry." He apologized, "It's the government's instructions to entrust this matter to her, as a professional. Still, with the skill to complete her preparations in a single day, there's no denying that she's a top-class hitman."
Hajime pondered on his teacher's statement. While that was true, the brown haired male could have sworn he had guessed right earlier regarding the men and what was inside those cases. His classmates watched nervously as their teachers entered the shed, shuffling in anticipation of what could happen inside. The government and their orders were starting to get on his nerves, they had no consideration nor respect for the students they put up to the task. Hajime sighed and turned to the nearest person, who happened to be Okuda. He glanced at her worried frown and tapped her shoulder to gain her attention. Okuda turned to face him, eyes widening in surprise.
"Okuda-san, would you mind covering your ears for me?" Hajime requested all of a sudden, making the female student confused. Despite that, Okuda hesitantly obliged, hand raising near her head. What was the worst that could happen?
"Can I ask why, Takano-san?" She questioned, dark purple eyes staring at him curiously. He smiled at her, recalling his first day with the class and how she reacted to his sudden assassination attempt. Might as well minimize the damage while he had a chance, he thought.
Hajime shrugged his shoulders in lieu of an answer. "Just a hunch."
At that moment, loud, a series of pop! pop! pop pop pop! was heard from the shed, making some of his classmates stumble backward at the sudden noise. It was startlingly loud, almost deafening when they were standing at such a close distance. Okuda flinched and ducked her head down, hands clamping at her ears to muffle the sound. The explosion of gunfire was ongoing, making his own ears ring slightly as Hajime shook his head in a grimace. The sound was different from when the students used their guns, it normally made an audible clicking noise whenever they fired. This was authentic heavy firearms and ammunition at use.
It lasted for around five seconds, before silence echoed. Then, a sharp, piercing shriek filled the air. Students dashed toward the shed to take a peek at the aftermath of the assassination attempt. Almost half of the class left the field to go and see their homeroom teacher, while Hajime and a few other of his classmates stayed behind. Okuda dropped her hands once she was certain that the gunfire was over and sighed shakily. That had been quite a scare.
She peered over at her brown haired classmate and hesitated, the male had tried to warn her, hadn't he? She tugged at the hem of his jacket. The male looked down, mahogany meeting dark purple with an inquiring raise of an eyebrow. Okuda smiled at him in gratitude. "Thank you, Takano-san." He gave her a closed-eye smile in return.
Standing a few feet from Hajime and Okuda, a black haired female student peered toward the shed where some of their classmates went. "What do you think happened?" Kanzaki Yukiko questioned no one in particular, fiddling with her gun. The screaming afterwards sounded suspicious and weirdly immodest, which was probably what drew most students to investigate. It sounded a lot like their female teacher.
The brown haired male began to roll down his sleeves as he answered. "Korosensei most likely countered their attack. It sounded like the woman and those men used real firearms and ammunition even though it was briefed to us that only a specific material worked against Korosensei." Hajime looked up, a hint of smugness tainted with irritation smeared his face as he gazed at the shed. "Her assassination failed, obviously."
