Obviously, when making a show, there are a lot of different iterations of certain things that lead up to the final one. Of course, it was that way here. And OH BOY, some of these are interesting.

Kai - He was originally gonna be called Ash or Dante. I honestly can't imagine that, can you? Ironically, the name 'Kai' in Welsh not only means 'keeper of keys,' but it also means earth.

Cole - Speaking of which, for some reason, he was gonna be called Blake; which does mean 'black' and 'dark' in older English language.

Jay - A couple of names he did go through-- and I like none of them. Ren, Poe, and Rayne were primarily the ones that the team dwindled between, before thinking that Jay would be a better name for him.

Zane - His names in the concepts were even weirder: Boon, Whitman, and Wynn. The heck? I'm so glad they went with Zane. I just cannot see them calling a titanium dude with a buzz-cut 'Wynn.'

Nya - One of the concepts was literally just one letter off: Nia, ironically. They also considered 'Aya,' and 'Aura.'

Garmadon - He was originally going to be called Lord Demic, but somewhere in the world that doesn't exactly translate well.

Nadakhan - Nor did 'Azad' translate well. What's up with four-arm dudes and having concept names that don't translate well?

Unigami - Urigami, just one letter off, and Lord Morigami. They both sound goofy.

Vania - Was originally gonna be called 'Ayella.' Honestly though, Vania rolls off of the tongue better.

Scott - I mean, they were both abducted by something unnatural and weird. . . Will.

Lilly - Last but not least, Lilly was going to be called Jane. I guess that'd fit, but I honestly prefer Lilly.
