Pilots - S2 Concepts

The early days of Ninjago, ah yes, when the story was likely most important to Ninjago's future. Had the pilots or S1 not been manifested the way they did, or S2, we might not even have S3! Or a movie, and I probably wouldn't even be writing this.

Pilots - The Four Weapons Blacksmith Shop was going to be called 'Four Arms Blacksmith' because apparently it's an acronym for weapons? They were already planning on doing the four arms thing with Garmadon at the time, so why not foreshadow it? Yeah, I'm confused to. Glad it wasn't used. The Scythe of Quakes was also going to be a Hammer of Quakes, but that's obviously not what we got. And in 'Weapons of Destiny' the four ninja would follow Garmadon into a portal to the FUTURE. (Which explains the image up top, if you're wondering.) As dope as that looks and sounds, it would definitely compromise the future prospects of the show and, with how time travel has been handled in the past, I don't think this would exactly turn out the best.

Rise of the Serpentine - They were originally gonna have it be Garmadon releasing the serpentine, rather than Lloyd. I think that the change was good, so Lloyd would be more relevant to the plot line and it would be less random for him turning out to be the Green Ninja. Albeit, I wonder what Lloyd would do then. What kind of character would he be manifested as in the mean time? The whole reason he was ever called an antagonist was because of releasing the serpentine, so what role would he play here?

Legacy of the Green Ninja - This one's rather interesting. Very interesting. So, in the Legacy of the Green Ninja finale, after seeing Misako and Garmadon reconcile, Wu walks away... with the Overlord manifesting inside of him. I'm pretty torn on this one. For one, I think the reason the Overlord is constantly coming back is because of the darkness, anguish, evil, anger, sadness and shadow he's spread and scattered, which he can re-manifest himself with. The dark will always be there, and it's unstoppable. He's unstoppable (though I hope I don't see him again in the future). If Wu's all jealous and envious over Garmadon getting back with Misako, of course that's going to be a way for the Overlord to recoil and re-manifest. It's negative emotion. But at the same time, isn't that a bit stupid? He's a wise sensei that's endured centuries of hardship and pain and loss and he starts having darkness brew inside him because of a married  woman? Ehhh.....
