Ice Age: A Summer Disaster

Moments Before Disaster

Noon came and the group has collected enough materials to rebuild a stronger and bigger boat than before. They worked hard and despite Sid and Louis being the clumsy ones and getting the most splinters and injuries, they did their best and they succeeded

After hours and hours of hard work, it was finished

They observed everything and it seemed just right. Now, they had to test it

"Alright, the boat is finished. Only Manny has to come see this" Noa started as she then turned towards the direction where Manny was sunbathing with the others

"Manny! Manny, come here, so I can rub my victory in your face!" Noa shouted, only for Manny to yell back at her

"Did you actually rebuild it? What has changed, will it sink faster than before?" Manny laughed as Noa and the others frowned at him

Shira looked at the sky and could see the grey clouds floating above the sea, far into the distance. Although she knew at was far away to reach for them, she knew it would be a matter of time for the storm to close in on them at the beach

"Ok, we'll have to hurry if we want to test your boat" Peaches said as she climbed and boarded the boat, followed by Sid, Louis, Noa and Shira

As they began sailing, it went as smoothly as they wanted. No issues at all, although they keep rocking from side to side the whole time. The group cheered as they did a little complimenting and celebrating Noa's minor success

Noa looked out at the beach to see the adults not paying any mind and even caught Manny sleeping under his parasol

"Hey!" Noa yelled as she and Peaches waved at them to get their attention, but she realized they couldn't hear them

"It doesn't matter, Noa, your boat is an art piece and functional. That's what matters!" Sid smiled as he had to raise his voice, because the wind has become louder and it became too stormy for them

"Alright, we have tested the boat and it's good. Let's get back to the shore!" Shira suggested as Noa agreed and tried to close the sails, but the wind was too strong

"The sails wont close!" Noa gasped as Peaches tried to help her, but even she couldn't close them

The wind suddenly took a turn and became a full blown storm, blowing the boat further away from the beach and past the reef

"We're all gonna die!" Louis screamed as he clung onto Sid

"Not again!" Sid screamed

They all panicked while the girls tried to close the sails, but the wind ended up destroying the sails as Noa gasped

"Oh, no. Help!"

They all screamed as they got sucked into the storm on open ocean and back at the beach, Manny was awoken by their screams and gasped at seeing them getting washed away. Eventually, everyone saw it as they panicked and got scared

"No!" Manny yelled as he ran to a trench that was connected to the sea and there he saw the iceberg that he used to sail to the Herd Valley with the family

"Diego, follow me!" Manny yelled as Diego followed him to the trench

"What're you doing?!" Diego yelled as Manny was trying to sail the ship out of the trench and boarded

"We're going after them" Manny replied

But something unexpected happened, the foredeck where Manny and Diego were standing on, broke off and they screamed as they fell into the sea and the strong tides took them towards the sea
