Ice Age: A Summer Disaster

Friends or Enemies?

"A-A saber?" Stella stammered

"You really don't have to be scared of her, she's really nice and wouldn't hurt a fly. None of us really know what she's is, but our friend, Sid might" Louis assured her

"Did he convince her?" Stella asked as Louis shook his head

"None of them are able to, she has kind of a thick skull"

Just then, Peaches, Sid and Shira appeared out of the bushes with their leaf bags filled with papayas and mangos. Stella jumped as she hid behind Louis after seeing Shira, only for Louis to comfort her afterwards

"It's ok, these are my friends" Louis said as Stella blushed with embarrassment and took a step forward

"H-Hi" Stella waved awkwardly

"Everyone, this is Stella, she's from this island. Stella, these are Peaches, Sid and Shira" Louis introduced them and they get on the good foot really well, unsurprisingly

"So, you know this place well?" Peaches asked Stella

"Yeah, this is the Hopeless Island" Stella replied

"Oh, hehe. So, is there yet any hope we'll get from this island?" Sid asked with an awkward chuckle as Stella laughed at his nervousness

She was still a little weary of Shira, but she quickly warmed up to her. They then realized Noa wasn't with Louis

"Where's Noa?" Sid asked

Back in the forest, Noa was still staring at the unconscious crow dangling from the vines and not moving an inch. Her gut feeling was telling her he was still alive, but he looked too dead for her

"I'm sorry, hope you'll return in a new better life, bye" Noa waved as she turned to leave, but stopped in her tracks when she heard a soft groan from behind her

She turned around, but there was nothing, just the crow. Noa shrugged as she intended to leave again, but stopped again as she could swear she saw the crow's chest slowly rising up and down, he was breathing, but it felt like something wasn't quite right

Noa narrowed her eyes as she slowly tiptoed closer to the crow, her nose 6 inches away from his beak. Then a loud shriek and the abrupt flapping of his wings, the crow's screaming caused Noa to scream herself, really hard as she fell backwards onto the grass

Her scream was so loud that it echoed throughout the forest and Peaches, Sid, Shira, Louis and Stella could hear it very clearly and were alarmed

"That's Noa!" Peaches gasped

"I think she's got hurt!" Shira exclaimed as she scooped Louis and Stella up and put them on her back, running into the forest with Sid and Peaches behind her

Meanwhile, on the other side of the island, Manny and Diego were walking along a river, when Diego happened to hear a faint shout gar into the distance. He stopped as his left ear went up, picking up the sound

"You hear that?" He asked

"Yeah, probably some prey that met a slow, painful death" Manny muttered as he continued walking

"It sounded like Noa, it could be her! That means we're near!" Diego realized as he looked at his companion, but no excitement in his eyes or anything

"Manny?"

"Whatever! A sound's a sound!" Granny grumbled as Manny groaned

"To you, everything is racket, even when we remind you to not wander from us!... does Sid clean your diapers as well?"
