Chapter 3 - The Pink Toad Got Interesting
Harry didn't like Nico Di whats-his-name or whatever. He was sure of it. After they finished breakfast, he, his friends, and guess who! Headed to defense against the dark arts. There, at a wooden desk, sat Umbridge.
Nico chose the seat in front of Harry and Ron, one row behind the front row. He had been able to listen to her, for the past few days, but for the most part, he zoned out, (ADHD) but she caught his attention when she said half-breeds.
"Nasty, stupid, creatures. Polluting our society. hazardous, horrible things" Nico started seething in anger. Control, Nico, control. he thought. Nico turned around. And caught Ron looking at him.
"What are you looking at?" He snapped. Umbridge stopped talking.
"Is there a problem boys?" She asked in her poisoned honey like voice.
"no" Nico said. But he couldn't take it any longer. He raised his hand.
"Yes mister Di Angelo?" She said
"May I please be excused?" He asked.
"I'm afraid not, Mr. Di Angelo. You see, this class is imperative to your learning." She replied. Nico let out a quiet sigh, and said no more.
Learning? What learning? He screamed in his mind.
What is wrong with him? Harry thought as "class" continued. You know what? I'm finding out what he's doing. He thought with an odd sense of triumph.
After the class, Harry looked for Nico's Raven head, and glanced just in time to see the transfer student turn the corner. He quietly followed the other Gryffindor, but round the corner to meet . . . an empty corridor. He quickly produced the Marauder's Map. He saw Nico's footprints in the hall he was in, then vanished, only to reappear in the Gryffindor common room. They went to his trunk, stopped, as if he was rummaging through it, then vanished and reappeared out side. He watched as they walked to the Forbidden Forest, then of the map. I knew he was hiding something! Harry thought with victory
