Once, twice, thrice,
She lied,The prettiest of which, stayed by her side,
It rolled off her tongue
She claimed to know so much,
This little thing, aged 10
With fantasies too grimAge 11, the world consumed her,
So many apps
So little to do,
Loneliness swelled within,
She wanted to be like you.The people she met,
She knew she was too young,
She lied about her age
Knew this was wrong
The pictures,
The texts,
The lying,
Aged 11, she ventured too farAge 12, she got her answers
In books, unsupervised
Of love and lust
Mainly lust running through,
She knew the feeling well
It grew inside her,
It grew
It grew;
years and years,
Till her soul, and body broke,Age 13 it came,
She never didー
No matter how hard she tried
And there was so much to try,
The videos she had seen,
The drinks
The sex
The boys
The men,
All the fantasies caught up to her
and so she lied once more,Age 15, she matured
Reality crashing down,
More apps,
More pictures,
Her desire to be loved, to be wanted,
She ran through men, the promises of true love,
She willingly called herself the words the world threw at her,
The degrading
The acceptance
Oh. But she was in control, of course,
She matured,
Is what she thought.Age 16, she knew she was wrong,
Cynicism took her
Her hatred grew;
Her body pained her,
While Disgust drowned Loneliness
She was just so lonely.
She would never come,
Much less by herselfー
Age 16 the magic of fantasies died downAge 17, she knew this time,
She knew better,
Yet this one hurt the most
Why couldn't you stay behind,
As you were
As we were,
To remain with me?
