After the crash I took custody of Charlotte and Noah since he was still a minor.
Life was different it had been 2 months since the accident we had to adapt to the new normal. I bought a house that had 4 bedrooms for each of us. Charlotte seemed different she doesn't laugh that much anymore , god I love her little giggles I miss em.
"Jack" a sweet little voice calls out. I smile as I open my bedroom door to see a tiny little human.
"Hey Ce what's up" I say I as pick her up. She wraps her tiny little arms around my neck. I really needed one of her hugs.
"Cuddle" is all she says. I nod as I bring her down on my bed and turn the tv on. She loves Sofia the first so of course we watch it. I go to lay next to her and pull her into a hug wrapping my arms around her.
After a while she fell asleep with her head at my chest I didn't move for hours because I didn't want to wake her. Suddenly I hear footsteps outside my door. Of course I know who walks around my house it's Noah.
"Yo I'm hungry" he barges into my room. Called it.
"Shh!" I shush him since Charlotte is right next to me. My poor baby wakes up during the night from nightmares so when she falls asleep we gotta make sure nobody interrupts her.
"Shit , anyways wanna go to Yorktown I'm craving Sarku" he says unbothered. Man sets his priorities first.
"You know what sure let me just get Charli dressed tell Leo to get ready." I say in a low voice. He leaves the door open. That little fucker.
I get up trying to not wake her up and go to her room to pick out an outfit.
I get her dressed. I am pretty proud of myself she's still asleep. I pick her up and bring her downstairs I then see my two younger brothers on the couch on their phones

———————————————————————- After we got our shoes on and Noah the princess had to use the bathroom we went to the garage. I hand Charlotte over to Noah since he's sitting in the back as I go start the car. He straps her in then closes the door and gets in through the other side.
Once we arrived at the mall Charlotte was awake by now so it was easier to get her out of the car. I get out and see Noah already get her out of her car seat.
"Up" she says raising her arms.
"Cmon kid" he picks her up and then closes door then follow behind us. We go into the mall and head straight into the food court. We got weird looks from people they were probably wondering why three guys had a toddler with them.
"Hey Ce do you want subway?" I ask as she nods with a smile appearing on her face. As we eat Charlotte was jumping up and down on her seat. Once we finished eating Leo wanted to go look at clothes so we headed to H&M.
"Yo this is drippy" he says holding up a yellow hoodie with SpongeBob on it. I chuckle in response. Charlotte giggles oh how I missed the sound of em.
"Facts" Noah responds
"Bet imma get it Noah get the Patrick Star one."
"Ok" I smile at these two weirdos so does Charlotte.
Life is different without my parents. I feel bad for Charlotte she was in the car with them but left without a scratch. You should've seen the car it was destroyed but she was okay.
Miracles do happen.
