Imperial super Commandos dragged the limp body of the Mandalorian through the vacant hallways. His wrists and ankles were tightly bound, feet scraping unceremoniously against the concrete flooring. Din shifted, awakening from his drugged state. The troopers paid no mind to his low grumbles as he shook off the grogginess.

Using the element of surprise to his advantage, he shifted his weight, bringing his legs to bounce of a corner as they were passing. He kicked off the wall and into the one behind. Din headbutted the Imperial commando to his left and flipped, taking down the trooper on his right.

The trooper on the floor was stunned. Din stole the knife tucked away in his molle sheath to saw the straps binding his ankles. The strike Din aimed to deliver into the man's chest was thwarted by blaster bolts raining down on him from behind. The Mandalorian rolled backwards and knocked the blaster out of the other troopers' hands, standing to tackle him into the opposing wall.

Din stumbled back as the other trooper recovered and fired shots at his chest plate, then used his flamethrower. Din was lucky that his armourweave suit was flame retardant. He performed a forward roll and locked his legs into the troopers, taking his legs out from beneath him while directing the aim of the flames to the original trooper.

The Mandalorian slammed the vambrace onto the floor and punched him in the face before running at his other opponent. Din altered the blaster aim, slamming his helmet into his and kicked his knees out from beneath him. The trooper fell down and Din's arms secured around his neck- a quick motion, and his neck cracked.

Fibrecord cable hooked around the Mandalorian's neck and Din was pulled to the concrete, grasping desperately at the constricting noose. The trooper readied his pistol to fire but it was clamped and bent by a mechanical hand.

"No. No. No. No." The IG-12 droned, the child inside disgruntled.

Din curled, bringing his legs up to kick away the Imperial trooper and firing the discarded blaster at him.

The Mandalorian remained on the ground, short-winded from the strangulation. Grogu sprayed the bacta vapour at his helmet, not knowing how else to help him. The Mandalorian batter away the spray obscuring his visor.

"I'm okay. I'm okay. Help me up." Din reassured, hoarsely. "Will you cut me loose?" He wobbled when upright and held up his bound wrists.

Grogu smiled at the chance to help the Mandalorian.  "Yes."

The cord slipped from his wrists and Din wrings them to return the circulation. "Thank you for your help. Grogu, I'm going to need you to be brave for me, okay?" The child cooed apprehensively. "We can't keep running. If we don't take out Moff Gideon, this will never end. You with me?"

The child nods and Din fiddled with the controls on his vambrace. There was no response from Elodie, the connection not even calling through. Instead, he called Bo-Katan, Alor of the Mandalorian's. [Mandalorian leader]

"Bo-Katan, come in."

"Received. Where are you?" Bo-Katan replied, having long-awaited his call. She knew he could take care of himself, it was only a matter of time.

"We're safe. I escaped. I've got the kid. Is Elodie with you?"

The Mandalorian stole a jet pack off of one of the dead troopers and slipped it on. He was ignorant to notice the pause that Bo-Katan gave when answering. "She stayed behind with Paz to keep the troopers from following us... but Din.."

"What?" He stopped.

"We are under attack now, so they must have got past them. I couldn't stay, I still have to get the troops to safety." A strong sense of anxiety weighed heavy in his gut. "Understood. Have you had any communication from either of them?" He was hopeful for the answer. Grogu's ears dropped.
