I let out a small chuckle to Brittany, her returning one to me as I spun on my heel turning around with a small smile still plastered on my face from me and Brittany's small previous conversations.
But the smile on my face slowly but surely started to fade as the thought that I would be able to see mason today went through my mind. I guess it wasn't meant to be, or maybe it was, maybe he was the love of my life, the one that would save me from everything, the one that would make all my problems fade away. Maybe he was really meant for me. Maybe just not now.
