She woke up to the sunshine, which in her books meant she was late. Her head pounded from inside when she tried to look around the room, finding nothing odd in the mess anymore.

Hurrying into the bathroom she brushed her teeth, unbothered by the fact that she was stark naked and miserable, inadvertently gratified that he wasn't here to witness it. Entering into the closet she slung on the fresh new dress, realising that her headache was slowly being replaced by her usual worries about Inaya. She never wanted her to think her mother was being indolent with time, that adults' had problems bigger than her little world.

A loud fit of childish laughter caught her attention at the door. Retrieving, she peeked from the window to behold the source of cheery sound, finding her little girl playing ball with uncky Enzo. He pretended to fall dead when the huge weightless ball was thrown at him, sending her into the full blown of giggles.

Sia watched the playful exchange from distance, paying more attention to the dead man than his ruthless tiny attacker. The sight brought a sly smile on Tara's indifferent face. There still existed things worth smiling for.

She leaned in window's frame to linger a little longer, fighting so earnestly to extend her smile's stay on her features. She blinked in wonder when Inaya looked up to the mansion, pointing at Enzo's unmoving body, breathing hard through her unmanageable laughter. Inaya did not notice her mother in the nearby window.

"I strong papa!! I beat unckyyy Enzo"

Tara assumed Don was watching from another window, perhaps the window of Ina's room. He wasn't supposed to loiter in his home at this time but he always had time to spare for the little green-eyed murderer. She turned after his thoughts started confiscating her attention again, ready to tidy the bed when her eyes caught something neatly kept on the nightstand.

She became alert, her heartbeats rising when she realised it was a compilation, precisely the document that she had prepared. Adrenalin rushed through her veins as she excitedly flipped through the pages, finding all the empty spaces now filled with his cursive unfathomable signature.

She took only a moment to become aware of her thoughts, realising what all of this meant, and then she no longer needed to think.

She threw the papers on bed at once, already feeling her face being warmed with trickling tears, dashing outside the room, running through the hallway, feeling her heart pounding inside her throat, grateful that she knew where he was. The door to Inaya's room was thrown open when she barged through it, witnessing his expressions that  stood somewhere between amused and bewildered, and shocked.

She ran into his arms like a speeding vehicle, and he took the blow of her weight with all his delight. He had wildly underestimated the happiness signing the contract brought her. She tightly fit into his arms, pulling him closer to herself as if he already was not. Her shoulders shuddered as she cried thoughtlessly in his arms, indifferent to his cooing hand patting her head.

When she looked up to him through her tear-stricken state, she found his eyes overwhelmingly steady on her. She did not need to speak to say thankyou. Her hands intertwined behind his neck, pulling him down so she could kiss him, and with all the earnestness he obliged. When their lips opened, eyes closed.

His hands trickled down to her waist, pulling her closer, deepening the kiss, pushing his tongue inside her mouth, tasting her very essence, drinking her miseries with the very intention.

"I love you" he said parting from her lips, his hard breath still lingering on her features, their faces still close together, enough for him to kiss the side of her eye, tasting her tear.

She was in no state to speak through her clogged throat and clouded mind, but she said it with all her sincerity could allow "I love you too".

Unable to contain the building urge, he aimed for her lips again,  pulling her roughly closer to him with an unsaid promise to never part again. He unintentionally glared when she recoiled back, a hint of embarrassment dancing in her eyes.

"She's.....she's watching"

His brows furrowed at her worry, and in a second, his gaze shifted out the window. Inaya watched them with her little jaw dropped, a large ball dropping from her hands. Sia would try to cover her eyes but Inaya would just as swiftly spurn her hands, unimaginably furious at what she saw.

It had to do everything about her possessivity of her father. Papa was only hers, the idea that he could be stolen my her treacherous mother was a phenomenon too foreign, too aggravating.  Her sharp glare made him immediately loosen his hold Tara.

Little did he know the factor of jealousy was already embedded deep within her nerves. In no time she was crying with her hands thrashing in the air, too furious with her parents. It was the first time Tara giggled when her baby cried. Donavan instead of tending to his possessive little girl watched his beautiful wife.

Enzo distracted Inaya by falling dead again, attracting attention to the ball that could kill anyone with its dangerous blow. And just like that, Inaya was yet again consumed by the world of murders by a rubber ball. Sia exaggerated uncky Enzo's condition and proudly put the blame on Inaya, instantly making her happier.

The couple watched as she played uncaringly to her parents' intimacy again, jumping and throwing and running behind his poor assistant. Donavan's hand circled her shoulder, keeping her close as they watched the scene ahead.

She looked up at him, in a strange admiration, feeling as though all her worries had now come to an end. And when his eyes gazed back into hers, she became sure of her gut. They shared the moment with themselves, telling each other all the sweet things that there were no words yet invented for.

Tara flinched frightfully in his arms when a deafening noise fell on their ears, as if something had banged the air forcefully. All the birds in the vicinity flew from their nests all at once, their flaps laying down the gravity of occurrence.

Tara watched as the figure collapsed on the well-mowed ground, Sia's ear piercing scream finding her in stillness and shock.

By the time Tara's throat worked to let out the scream of agony, Inaya was already limp in Enzo's arms.
