Chapter 1: Meet the Boss

Normal POV

This is the day that Lucy will finally meet her boss. Lucy went in the END Company in her corporate attire. She wears a pink inside shirt and black coat and a pencil cut skirt and pair of black heels.

"Alright! The most important now is your first impression to the Boss." Lucy takes a deep breath and enters the elevator.

"Good Morning Lucy-chan~!" Sam said as Lucy went out the elevator. The CEO's office is on the top floor of the building and that is 26th floor.

"Oh! Sam! You startled me! Good Morning." Lucy said

"This is it girl! Our new CEO is kinda young and hot. Make your first impression good so that he will like you eventually." Sam said leading Lucy to the office of the boss

"I know that." Lucy said and it can see in her face the anxiety

"Don't be nervous Lucy-chan! Be yourself. I'm going to introduce you to him okay." Sam said and went in to the office of the boss.

"Sir~! Your Chief Assistant is here." Sam said holding her clip board

"Is that so? Let her in." The boss said. His chair id facing back Sam

"Yes sir." Sam said and went over to Lucy and let her in.

"Meet the new Boss of the END company Lucy-chan." she said to Lucy

Lucy was nervous to face the boss. She has her bio data and resume on hand.

When she came in to the office, the boss is facing the other way with his long chair.

Lucy can't see him because of the chair.

"So you're here. Take a seat." the boss said.

He seems to be looking at some documents of the company

He is the new boss so he needs to look up to the previous files of the company.

Lucy is looking at her feet getting nervous and all.

The boss turns his chair still looking at the files and Lucy look at him and her smile vanish.

"So you are the new Chief Assistant, what's your name--" the boss put down the documents and look at the person in front of him with wide eyes

"L-Lucy?" he said

"Nat...su..." she said and tears are forming from her eyes without her knowing.

"You're my Assistant?" he said standing up with his hands on his desk

"You're my Boss?" she said and her tears started to fall from her eyes

"Lucy..Lucy!"Natsu called because Lucy stood up and went outside the office.

Sam is on her desk doing her job when she noticed that Lucy went out the office crying. She wants to follow her but her boss suddenly came out of the room and followed her while calling her name.

Lucy just ignores his call and continues to walk trying to dry her tears from her eyes but it doesn't seem to be working

She went out the company.

"Lucy." Natsu called when he catch up to her

"Can we talk?" he said

"We don't have anything to talk about." she said looking straight into his eyes.

He can see that her eyes are full of sadness, pain, and hatred of him.

"Luce..." he said

"Don't call me that!" she said and went inside her car

He didn't even get to say anything to her.

On how he misses her so much and how he regrets leaving her.

Natsu went back inside the company and went straight in his office. He sits down from his chair and holds his head. "How can this be? Of all people why her?" he stand up and walk back and forth from his office

"I didn't even prepare myself to see her in this state. I'm still not ready to face her. Why is this happening? Is this my punishment for leaving her?"

"Uh...Sir. Dragneel.." Sam said opening the door of the office

"Sam! Why didn't you tell me first the name of the Chief Assistant?!" he yelled and Sam is a bit scared of him

"It's because the interviewer said that they want to surprise you." Sam said

"What?!" Natsu yelled again and Sam is like a cute dog that is being yelled at

"Well I'm surprised! Really surprise..." Natsu said and went back to his chair

"I'm sorry Sam for raising my voice. I didn't mean to." Natsu apologize

"It's alright sir. And we are sorry for not telling you." Sam said

"Okay you can go." Natsu said and Sam went out her office

"What am I going to do now? I was just planning on looking for her and talk to her in a nice way."

"I'm sorry Lucy....for leaving you...this is for our future...but still...I hurt you...I miss you so much." Natsu said in a head down resting on his hands. His tears are subsiding down his face.

"I'm sorry . I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Those are the only words that came out from his mouth.

"Hey what happened to Sir. Dragneel?" an office mate of Sam asked her

"I don't know but he seems angry that I didn't tell him that Lucy-chan is his Assistant. And Lucy-chan runs away crying earlier." Sam said in a worried tone

"Do you think they have a connection or something?"

"I don't know and please let's not talk about their private life! Get to work." She said and they all went to their desk

"But still I'm worried for both of them.." Sam said and continues with her work.
