I had been anxious all morning.
I was waiting for pedri to text that him and Gavi were on the way over
They had landed an hour ago so I was wondering what was taking so long
I went into my closet and put on a hoodie before going over to my window
I had been more anxious trying to figure out what I would say to pedri than I was anxious about seeing Gavi
"CARMEN WOULD YOU PLEASE COME DOWNSTAIRS" my mom yells up the stairs
I jump up a run out the door
I'm met with not pedri or Gavi. But instead Landon,jean, Nico and Delphine
Oh crap
"Hey guys what's up" I say
"Nothing we just have an idea we want to run by you" jean says releasing from the group and giving me a hug
"Well I suppose we can go talk in the garden" I say and point to the door
My mom flashes me a look
"Yeah you guy's just go out and sit at the table and I'll be there in a second
They all agree and go sit outside
"Carmen what is going on?" My mom asks in a concerned tone
"I don't know mama" I say anxiously looking down at my phone
"Well what are you doing hanging around Landon right before Gavi is going to get here" she asks
"I didn't plan this, but I'm just going to see what they need and have them go hopefully before pedri and Gavi get here" I say
"Ok, I can try to stall for you in case they get here before your done" she says looking down at her watch
"Gracias mama" I say before turning to go to the door
" ok guys what's going on?" I ask as I join them at the table
"Well you know that Stelles birthday is tomorrow, so we wanted to throw her a little party" Nico says
"Not a good idea guys" I counter back
"Why" Landon asks
"Well for starters she hates surprises" I say a laugh at an old memory
"And she hates parties" jean cuts in and sighs
Everyone laughs and we all start thinking because we do want to throw a celebration but we just don't know what
"IDEA" delphine yells suddenly
"What what" Nico asks
"End of semester party" she simply says
"Your genius" I say back
"I'm lost" jean says
"We can change semester party into secretly Estelle's birthday party but she won't know until she gets there so it's not technically a surprise" I say
"And if we want to make it better we can wait until the end of the party and do like a cake thing" Landon adds
"That's smart" Nico says
"Ok so, text into the gc later tonight and add Margie to the chat because she can help us plan it better because it's at her boyfriends house" I say as we all stand up
"Sounds like a plan" they all respond as we walk back inside
As we walk in I'm met with my father, my mother, pedri and Gavi
