Chapter 8

Season 2 episode 5

I get up from bed and got ready for dance, I then go downstairs and went to eat breakfast, I then grab my dance bag and we leave to the Abby Lee Dance Company. When we arrived we stretch with the others and then Abby calls us in.

"Girls, come on let's go, mom's in here." We then line up and Abby starts talking

"I would like to officially welcome Kendall, you're the member of the Abby Lee Dance Company, here you go" she says giving Kendall her ALDC jacket and Chloe Paige give her a hug

"Now, listen to me, this doesn't mean it's smooth sailing from here on out, it means you really have to work hard. When you're wearing that jacket, she can't be all hunched over and slouching, so if you see that mom, you take a thumbtack and stick it right in between her shoulder blades. We are going to Starbound competition im Long Island, New York. I'll tell you what, they are ready for us, they want to beat the Abby Lee Dance Company and they are serious, they're like sharks in the water, they can taste the blood." She then moves to the pyramid

"All right, now, Mackenzie, you did well with your solo the last time, you need to do even better this time. Nia, chosen for a special part, your mom didn't want you to do it, not a lot to say. Next, Paige, you didn't do a solo, you didn't do a duet or trio, so there wasn't a lot to judge you on. Kendall, your off probation, your a member of the team, however you need to fix the feet, the turnout, the back of the knees, you still have a lot to work ahead of you honey. Next, I have Y/n, you did good in the group dance, and didn't really see any corrections. Maddie, you did a great job, won your category, won the overall high score, but I have to keep challenging you. And next I have, Chloe we're gonna give them what they want. Chloe, when you walk backstage into those wings , you need to walk in there with arrogance and your nose up in the air, just like you walk into this studio every day, those other girls should be afraid of you just because you're Chloe and your from the Abby Lee Dance Company. And on top of the pyramid, is Brooke" Everyone including me was shocked, just then Brooke walks in and we run to hug her, and we walk back to Payton and Paige, Maddie, Nia, and Chloe go hug her, Abby then tells us to line back up and she says

"I know you all are wondering, how could she be on the top of the pyramid? Not only is she going to do a solo this week, and not only she win, I demand that you win. Payton, we all know everyone is replaceable, you were not the right replacement for this group. You had a great experience, you saw the gateway to the west, you cannot be upset-"

"She has the right to be upset Abby, you dangled a carrot in front of her and you just ripped it away, for what her daughter to just come in and take a spot as a stranger, and for Brooke to leave and you take her back, where is your loyalty? We have been so loyal to you-"

"Loyalty"

"Wait a minute"

"It is loyalty Kelly" they then start arguing, Leslie then tells Abby

"How dare you, our history"

"Don't how dare me. Payton got to go to St Louis, you got to be in the competition"

"You know what Abby, if you don't want her, we will find somebody that wants her to compete on their team. Payton, let's go, you can keep your Kendall and you can keep the rest of your group." They then leave

"Brooke, you have the solo that you must win, Mackenzie, you have a solo, and Y/n, you have a solo" Mackenzie then hugs me, and Abby then starts talking

"The group number, high energy, everybody join us, everybody on their feet, everybody dancing" the mom's then leave and Abby tells us that the group dance is "Avalanche" and then Gia starts teaching us the dance, after rehearsing the dance Abby makes us do it with the music.
