AN: So, I couldn't be bothered to change the battle scene in the actual chapter but I felt like rewriting this part because I had a sudden burst of inspiration at 2 AM and needed to write it down. Hope you like it!

Percy POV:

My head spun. She fell extremely slowly, the gaping wound bleeding out. It was like the fates wanted me to watch my sister die a painful death just to taint me. The hole in her stomach went right through and I could see the demigods behind her. Her gorgeous grey eyes glazed over and I saw the smallest movement of her lips.

"I Love you."

My vision turned red. I couldn't see anything but the heartless monster before me. She laughed and taunted me.

"Hahaha! Your precious wise girl is dead! You fell into Tartarus for that brat and look where that got you! You fool! You really believed you could defeat me!" She grinned like a psychopath at me, "NO ONE COULD DEFEAT THE PRIMORDIAL GODDESS OF THE EARTH! Especially a weak and helpless little girl like you. Your weak sister is dead and soon you will be too."

She insulted Annabeth and I refused to let that slide. The ice beneath mine and the devils feat cracked. I knew that the ice would go soon so I needed to end this quickly.

I shook my head to clear my vision. Rushing blindly could get me killed before I got my vengeance. I knew I had to defeat Gaia and I refused to lose to this asshole before I defeated her. She was still laughing and insulting Annabeth as my eyes darted around.

A wicked crooked smile appeared on my face. I saw the demigods around take a step back in shock and Gaia's grin faltered. The demon looked alarmed but she quickly composed herself. I didn't care about her fear, it would only help me more. This monstrosity would fall and it would be at my hand.

I charged and a scythe made of Earth met my sword. The celestial bronze met rock solid dirt.

I glared at the fiend I was facing and she glared back. Her glare was nothing. I had been through far worse then the glare of an idiot who chose to insult a fallen hero. Annabeth was a queen. She was brilliant and beautiful. Deadly and amazing. My sister was everything and I refused to let her death be in vain.

Our weapons were on par. My sword held firm as Gaia pushed harder. I pushed back. We were locked in a glare and strength battle. I couldn't back down. I wouldn't.

My arms burned but I didn't let in.

Gaia's frustration showed as I didn't back down. She had stopped the taunts and looked serious. She was angry and I knew it. I gave my signature troublemaker smirk and gave a humorless laugh.

Gaia looked unnerved.

"You forgot something dear great grandmother." My tone was sickly sweet, "My fatal flaw is loyalty and you just killed my sister." I whispered it but Gaia's face showed absolute horror. Her eyes widened but she quickly composed her self.

She suddenly jumped back. Her being several hundred feet taller than me did not disturb me. It merely made me more eager.

As the saying goes, 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall!' I wasn't just going to end Gaia. I was going to decimate her. Her pride would be destroyed and she would be dirt beneath my feet.

I watched as she brought her scythe up for a downward cut. It was in hyper focus with everything a blur but at the same it was as if I could see everything. I believe she was hoping to cut me in half but she failed. Her scythe cracked the ice where I was just standing and I rolled to the right.
