Shreya continued :

We came to Delhi and a new chapter of our life started. Mujhe dancing aur singing ka shauk hamesha se tha, isiliye Ahmedabad me papa ne local teacher ke pass classes lagva Diya. Jab hm Delhi aaye to mom-dad dono hi earn kr rhe the, to Papa ne mujhe professional music aur dancing school mein daal Diya. Delhi ke bahut bade government school mein padhaai hui. Everything was going well, life was sorted. (She said with a satisfied face) Classical music aur dancing bhi seekh rhi thi. At the age of 14, mujhe as a child playback singer gane ka mauka mila and that song was a hit. I was 14 years old,  ye sb kuch mere liye bahut naya tha aur bahut amazing. I was happy, and mom-dad was happy.✨❣️

But one day, mummy ne apne paas bulaya aur poochha, kya mujhe mere asli papa yaad hai.😑 Ha, 12 saal ho chuke the us bat ko pr mei apne papa ko nhi bhooli thi. I told Mom that yes, I remembered him. To mummy ne bataya ki Papa hamesha se ek ladka chahte the, because woh ek army officer banna chahte the, jo ki chhoti umra mein shaadi aur responsibilities ki vajah se nahin ban paye.(She said with a sad smile) Isiliye vo chahte the unka ek beta ho jo unka sapna pura kare, pr unhe dono bar betiyan hi hui. Wo tum dono se bahut pyar karte the, pr main chahti hun ki tum unka sapna pura karo. Music aur dancing chhodkar, tum ek officer bano, jis per tumhare papa ko proud ho. And that was the moment when my life changed. Usi din se maine music or dancing ko chod Diya😣, and I started focusing on my studies more.

Mei hamesha se ek bright student thi. From that point, I started focusing much more on my studies. I left music and dance but Papa ne kaha, I won't allow you to go to the army.🤨 Isiliye maine decide kiya ki main ek CID officer banungi. I completed my 10th with 93%, and I was pleased. Class 11th shuru hui. Everything was new, naye dost bane, mei hamesha se introvert type thi. Aur us waqt having a boyfriend was something cool, so ek ladke ne mujhe samne se propose kiya, and I accepted the offer. 

He was not from my school, meri coaching se tha, two-year senior. 1 to 1.5-month mera relationship chla, we use to go on dates every now or then. Isi tarah ek din after coaching hm ek cafe me gye the, we didn't notice but papa bhi kisi client ke sath waha aaye the, and he saw me when I was bidding goodbye by hugging him. 

Us din meine unhe waha pr confront nhi Kiya, thinking he won't mind that much. Dinner ke waqt bhi papa ne bhi kuch nhi kaha, meine socha sayed unhe koi fark nhi padta, and I was happy. But, after dinner he called me in his room, locked the room or bhut data mujhe. Sayed, meri life me pehli bar Papa ne mujhe datha tha, itni uchi aawaj me bat ki thi, I cried but still unhone mujhe shant nhi karaya. Na kuch suna, na kuch bolne ka mauka diya.😣

Sirf mujhe order de diya ki usse breakup kr lo or aaj ke bad usse kabhi nhi milogi. Maybe wo sirf attraction tha us umra me but I didn't want to leave him or meine papa ko bolne ki bhi kosis ki I love him, please aeisa mt kro. But, Papa was firm with his stand. Unhone kaha ya mujhe chun ya use.😥

I came out of his room, went to mine and cried. That day, mujhe pehli bar ehsas hua ki he was not my real father, wo mere stepfather hai, kyuki mere Papa mujhe rota dekh kr bhi kabhi datenge nhi. 😥I broke up with Ranveer but when he confronted me, I told him everything happened and he said that I am useless, if I can't convince my father to be with him, I don't deserve a boy like him.😔

The words of my Papa and then him's, broke me, all because of my father. Unse bat hona bnd ho gyi, or unhone bhi samne se bat krne ki kosis nhi ki. Mom didn't knew anything about this, I don't know if Papa told her about that or not.🤷‍♀️

{As Shreya narrated her story, her emotions fluctuated between happiness, sadness, and despair. She was elated when she got the opportunity to pursue her passion for music and dance in Delhi, but her world came crashing down when her mother reminded her of her biological father. The revelation shattered her, and she realized that her father had always wanted a son who could fulfil his dream of becoming an army officer. This realization led to her abandoning her passion for music and dance and focusing on her studies.}
