Weeks had passed since the Driver left you for Irene. You tried your best to move on, but the pain of losing him still lingered. You kept yourself busy with work and spending time with friends, but there were moments when you couldn't help but think about him.

One evening, as you were walking back to your apartment, you noticed a familiar car parked outside. Your heart skipped a beat as you realized it was the Driver's car. You tried to ignore it and kept walking, but you couldn't resist the urge to take a closer look.

As you approached the car, you saw the Driver sitting inside, looking lost in thought. You couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion as you saw him again.

The Driver noticed you and got out of the car, looking at you with a mixture of guilt and regret.

"I'm sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

You looked at him, feeling a mix of anger and sadness.

"What are you doing here?" you asked, your voice shaking.

The Driver took a step towards you, his eyes pleading.

"I needed to see you," he said. "I know I made a mistake, leaving you like that. I was confused, and I didn't know what I wanted."

You felt a pang of hope as he spoke. Could it be possible that he still had feelings for you?

"What do you want now?" you asked, your voice barely above a whisper.

The Driver took your hand, looking at you with tears in his eyes.

"I want you," he said. "I realized that I made a mistake, and I can't imagine my life without you."

You looked at him, feeling a mix of joy and trepidation. Could you trust him again after he had hurt you so deeply?

"I don't know if I can trust you," you said, pulling away from him.

The Driver looked at you with a pained expression.

"I understand," he said. "But I promise, I'll do whatever it takes to earn your trust again."

You looked at him, feeling a flicker of hope. Maybe, just maybe, you could find a way to make things work.

"I need time," you said, looking at him with a mix of doubt and longing.

The Driver nodded, looking at you with a sense of determination.

"I'll wait," he said. "As long as it takes."

And with that, he got back into his car and drove away, leaving you alone with your thoughts and feelings.
