*FLASHBACK*
Cut Throat remembered the very first time he had seen her. She had entered their class unsuspectedly, as the entire class had gone silent upon her entrance, he remembered the exact scene in his head as though he were reliving it.
He had a mission that same night. He remembered putting on his slim suit, and then slowly taking off his badges, the mission was delicate, it required for no one to be able to trace anything back to anyone. He had his black muzzle on, the leather gloves stretching across hands. He found an envelope in his car with the details of where his target would be.
While Cut Throat thrived in the army, Xavier usually had difficulties with restraining himself to fit into socially acceptable behaviour. Perhaps that was one of the key recruitment factors of the C40. They wanted soldiers who had a natural in-built rage inside of them....KO and Cut Throat were essentially ideal in that aspect.
Cut Throat had packed all his knives into his various pockets in his uniform. He was informed that he could use his weapon of choice, and of course for Cut Throat he was a man of basic principles, he liked the use of knives much more than guns. It was a simple and yet highly efficient weapon if you knew how to work with it. Also not to forget that it was a very personal weapon, it allowed you to get up close and personal, unlike a gun which was not too flexible and did not allow for much creativity.
As excited as he was, Cut Throat's mind was distracted and it irritated him. It was the beggar girl, something about her he couldn't get his mind off, although he had tried. He didn't understand his feelings ...or rather why he was having any to begin with.
Sure she was beautiful, but at royal high school being beautiful was not something unusual. Cut Throat had to bite hard as he reminded himself that he was about to embark on a mission and he really couldn't afford distractions, for the simple reason that in his world distractions, could cost you your life.
Cut Throat drove with speed to his location provided to him, parking his car into the distant it would not do him good to be made out in the parking. He shut the car door, and started walking, there was bleak light coming through the windows of a depleted building. The fact that the mission was assigned to Cut Throat was already telling about the occupants. They were probably highly trained and dangerous. C40 in general liked to work on lean staff missions, they had worked out how many men should each of their elite soldiers be able to eliminate, based off of that formula they were able to provide a strategic number of soldiers per mission. However, Cut Throat was the anomaly, he was usually able to cater to wider spectrum of eliminations, thus he was comfortable and adept at handling solo missions.
He walked slowly up the pathway, his shoes making no noise on the gravel floor. The muzzle fitting his face perfectly, he took out his watch and started the timer. He usually liked to time himself, and beat his own 'personal record'.
For the last time, Cut Throat took out the envelope, he saw there was one person he would need to capture and take for interrogation. The rush of adrenaline flowing through his veins, Cut Throat walked into the building, and started to analyse his surroundings, the building in itself was rather old and depleted, the security infrastructure was basically non-existent, which could only mean that the occupants would be relying heavily on human reinforcement.
Sure enough just as cut throat walked in, he saw heavy figures guarding the snaky staircases going up the corridor.
Cut Throat really liked the suit he was wearing, he sighed didn't want to get blood on it, he thought as he slowly silently and almost as though at the speed of light, the sharp end of his blade easily finding the heavy figures in their necks he made sure to cover their mouths. To a normal soldier this would have been difficult to execute with such precision, but alas when Cut Throat was called to missions, it was well understood the level of sophistication that was expected of the mission.
