TW: mention of self-harm

PADME'S APARTMENT 6AM

Padme woke up to her comlink ringing. It took a couple minutes to wake up and get out of bed. She picked her comlink up.

"Hey Padme. What happened yesterday?" Bail asked.

"Hey Bail a lot happened and it's horrible I'll tell you everything but can we meet at the halls of healing?"

"Sure when?"

"In a half hour."

"Okay see you there."

Padme got dressed and then left her apartment.

HALLS OF HEALING 6:30AM

Bail and Padme met and she told him everything. Bail just couldn't believe his ears.

"Wha- How- What- I- I don't understand."

"You have to believe me. We have to tell what happened to the Senate."

"What should we do now?"

"Well we obviously need to inform the people about this and then we have to pick a new chancellor. Which I think should be you."

"What no I can't be."

"Why?"

"Because the people love you way more if they had a chance they would pick you to be the new leader of the republic they trust you."

"I- I have to be with Ani."

"He would want you to do it. And Satine and I can always help you with work."

"Right now I can't."

"You don't have to do it right now just please think about it."

And then they stayed quiet. Padme was thinking about what Bail just said to her. The people trust her. But what would happened if they found out that she has a secret husband who is a Jedi would they still trust her?

Kix came to the waiting room and invited them inside to meet Anakin.

"We sent his robotic arm to the service because it broke." Kix said before they stepped into the room.

Padme immediately ran up to Anakin's bed. He was still unconscious. She ran her fingers through his hair which was still wet.

"How long will he be unconscious?" Bail asked and looked at Kix.

"We don't know. It will probably take a week at least. His body needs some rest so he will be in a coma. The doctors think that it's unnecessary to put him back to a tank. Most of the scars healed. But on his forearm you can see a couple scars, burns that he got before he fell."

Padme turned his arm a little and she could see them. He hurt him self. She didn't know what to think. Was this her fault or was this Palpatine's manipulation she didn't know she didn't care. It broke her to see his husband like this but it hurt more that he hurt him self because he didn't feel right.

"I'll leave you senators alone."

Bail saw Padme broke down in seconds.

"It's not your fault Padme."

"I know but it's still hard he hurt himself maybe because of me. His wife. What if he wakes up and blames me for everything and then-"

"That's never going to happened because he loves you more that anything."

"But I hurt him."

"No it wasn't you."

"We should ask for some roll bandage from Kix I don't want Ahsoka to see his arm she would break into peaces. And I don't think Obiwan should know ether."Padme suggested as she whipped her tears away. She had been crying a lot lately.

"What will we tell them?"

"He has some bruises which couldn't heal that fast because he fell on that arm."

"They'll never believe us they are not stupid."

"Any better ideas?" Bail didn't answer.

Kix came back a couple minutes after they asked him to get some roll bandage and told him they didn't wanted the other to know.

"Anything else that I can help with Senator Amidala?"

"Please just call me Padme. But no there isn't. Thank you."

"It's nothing S- Padme. He is my general after all." He said with a light smile and left.
